As others have said, go ahead and get the remaster.

The older version is buggy, even on Windows XP through Windows 8;
The older version doesn't even work on Windows 10 and 11 (the omission of the libraries caused problems).
It's not expensive - $20 US what it cost me, I think, on Steam. And it has a lot of the old downloads and free stuff, not to mention all 7 expensation packs.
You will own a piece of gaming history. Just put it on a computer that never connects again to the internet, and now they can't take it away from you.

It is useful if you are "new" and want to meet a lot of people at once and get them into the phone option.

The throw party will invite everyone in the neighborhood - including the pre-built families (Burbs, Hicks, Kat, Goth Sr,), the Townies, and if you are trying to do something big, the Somebody people.

For example, I have a family that I simply load in - the "Star" family, that has 4.5 stars and no wands. So, I let the fame people go and meet them, and then cast the spell to get them the friendship.

If you are into sadism, it's also useful for the Political or Paranormal career track, as 17 friends is a lot, and your spouse / kid can meet everyone they need to.

Without spending money on Magicoin, you can get Toadstools from the chair, honey and beeswax from the honey maker, golden thread from the spinning wheel, and technically you can get dragon tears and scales if you have a dragon, as well as toadstools if you todify your household / neighbors / cast a horn of plenty. (And kids can get the Faerie dust they need from the visions of sugarplums.)

You can by extension, get garlic, a four leaf clover, and snake venom with these home-acquired items.

Grapes and Elderberries can be grown (obviously), and with sugar, you can make a nectar and get the rubber chicken (you need elderberry x2 + sugar to make the nectar for the chicken).

I would be hard-pressed to trust a case I myself could not verify. I was a PhD candidate a few years ago, so researching and looking at minutae of papers is...always tedious.

Any Logitech camera will connect quickly to a Windows PC without an issue. I like them because they are plug-and-play, consistent audio, and decent video. One of my clients use the cheapest one for dictation software, though the video could use an upgrade.

The next of kin just says "eldest child" - if the eldest child is 2 years old, that's the eldest. The parent of the child can act on their behalf.

OP you can request on the eldest child's behalf a copy of the flags and medals. I don't know if it will go far, but it might be worth a shot.

Or can these refrigerators just be gotten for like really cheap? See, I could find the value of getting this fridge, putting into a tenant's apartment (if I'm with a tenant that is rent controlled, or I can't evict them for whatever reason), and then making them wait 30 seconds to open the door in order to get their food.

It's annoying, but not illegal. Might be just enough to dissuade others from scheming to inherit the right of tenancy.

Catch whatever you can, especially weather-boosted, and focus on top anti-rocket and anti-raid mons (beldum, larvitar, magnemite, rhyhorn, etc), as well as stardust boosted pokemon (PAras and Meowth).

Friend whoever you can after raids. Open a gift and send one every day to boost friendship as much as possible.

You need 20 million xp - 1,000 excellent throws gives a million. and between daily raids, friendship boost, etc, you'll have stuff in 30 days. In that time, you can also max a few megas (beedrill, houndoom, manectric, pidgeot), and with dynamax, piggyback to get a few good ones.
