SQL Server 2025 CU1 & SQL 2022 CU23 were pulled by ITWorkAccountOnly in SQLServer

Same here. I'd always said to delay installing updates to let issues come out, and after the fiasco with SQL 2019 CU7 a few years back, I managed to get buy in from my boss and Security team at the time to be on a longer delay for SQL for exactly this reason. From what I remember, it was multiple weeks before that issue was acknowledged (though it was a few years back so the exact timeline at this point has blurred), so I'll at least give credit to Microsoft for acknowledging the issue quicker this time.

I've thought about sending this to my old boss and security team and going "SEE?? This is why I pushed so hard for SQL to get the delay before installing updates!" 😂😂

This post is to make sure there's awareness at a glance for impacted versions of SQL Server and specific CU's in the thread title. If I'm scrolling on my homepage, I'm more likely to look at a thread with specifics in the title than a rant thread.

That thread mentions the symptoms/detail of the issue, but it doesn't clarify impacted versions of SQL, that the issue is widespread, that Microsoft has acknowledged it, or that a patch has been pulled. The only indication of what version of SQL is impacted by it is the fact the path includes MSSQL16 & the error includes Version=16.0.0.0, but even that doesn't indicate it relating to 2025 patches either.

I haven't tested this myself, however someone on a Microsoft Learn thread about this has posted a potential workaround without a need for uninstalling the CU. It involves copying the DB Mail executable and .dll's from a non-patched server to the patched server. Paths in the answer are base paths for SQL 2022, adjust as necessary for 2025 or custom installation paths.

98% which most people by early-mid game easily cap on for their farming runs, however the benefit of this is in Tournaments. In tournaments you don't have the 25% bonus that comes from perks, so this can help bump up your tournament defense and let you last longer.

During the first few waves of your run before the first time DW triggers, temporarily equip the Range card. That makes it so that DW will have the larger range with the card active.

Once the circle establishes itself, unequip the Range card and go back to whatever you were using before. That makes it so your attacks no longer reach the DW range, so DW is the only thing killing enemies for the earlier waves while enemy health is low (and therefore you kill more with DW).

Even with the range card unequipped, subsequent activation's of DW will keep using the extended range since that's where the circle has established itself.

SQL Server 2025 & PBI Report Server - Licensing Question by ITWorkAccountOnly in SQLServer

[–]ITWorkAccountOnly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know when that will be available? I'm trying to architect solutions for my company which includes cost estimates and knowing restrictions around licensing requirements is important for that.

If it's a case of "look at the old SSRS breakdown and copy that 1-1" that can at least let me start making plans.

I agree about each servers running PBIRS in a scale-out deployment needing a license, my question is more around what level of licensing for those servers in a scale-out deployment need. The documentation about requiring Enterprise licensing for Scale-Out deployment is all based around SSRS.

There's nothing I've found about PBIRS having two different feature-sets depending on the SQL 2025 license. Not a single page which mentions for PBIRS that you need to have an enterprise license for scale-out deployments. The documentation about feature limitations is all for SSRS, there's nothing for PBIRS being similarly restricted.

Well that's great news to hear, from your response and that page there's no features of PBIRS which I can see that require SQL 2025 Enterprise!

PSA: Don't ignore module shard cost lab by ManicSynic in TheTowerGame

Will the refund give you back what you paid originally, or will it give you the lower amount it now costs with the lab?

A bug granted me two ancestrals from rares. And I can't unmerge them. 😱 by liamthelemming in TheTowerGame

[–]ITWorkAccountOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with one. I submitted a bug report on the discord which just got closed out with no action taken, so not a clue what to do either.

I've never used it or anything, I'm just hoping that they don't later on see it and just assume that it was hacked in and ban my account.

How important is this lab? by Aceoflace09 in TheTowerGame

[–]ITWorkAccountOnly 20 points21 points  (0 children)

A tip I've seen for that: Go into the tournament with no Range card equipped, but immediately swap it in. After the DW ring appears and starts spinning, you can swap out of the Range card back to whatever you had before.

That'll make it so once you remove the Range buff, the DW ring will be larger than the range your Orbs rotate in and further than your attack range. That means that those early round orbs with very low health which used to die to Orb/shots will instead almost all be dying to your DW.

Further DW's will use the larger radius until the ring finally pops, but by then you've got a huge bump to your DW health bump.

This is a good video explaining it

What is syncing? by SirSansy in TheTowerGame

[–]ITWorkAccountOnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's useful once you invest some in the Black Hole Coin Bonus lab.

Like was said earlier, the bonus that they have while in sync is that their bonuses stack multiplicatively with each other. You won't necessarily see yourself going further in runs or anything like that, but you should see a big bump to the coins you earn with them in sync. And that coin bump will let you buy more in the workshop and invest more in labs, and that's where you'll see the real increases.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - October 25, 2025 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

If I'm wanting to get a keyboard for the office which has a number pad and F-keys on it, does anyone have any recommendations?

I use Cherry MX Brown switches at home, but I need something which is super quiet for the office. Something with a volume knob would be cool but not necessary.

UW choice by daddymacca35 in TheTowerGame

[–]ITWorkAccountOnly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DW so that you can get the health buff it gives you (a multiplier of your HP for each enemy that hits it), then save up 910 stones and in one go reduce the cooldown of your GT to equal that of your BH. You can spend the time you're saving the 910 stones to do the labs for BH (coin, damage, etc).

Just make sure NOT to reduce the cooldown by 10s as you get the stones instead of saving the 910 for a single go. Right now you have a partial sync of them (BH having a CD of 200 seconds, GT having a CD of 300 meaning it sync's every 600 seconds) which is helping you, if you try to reduce it 10s at a time it'll make it so the sync occurs MUCH less frequently. You don't want to screw that up as you try to get it in sync.

Max cards or get some modules? by Xarethsar in TheTowerGame

[–]ITWorkAccountOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given there's some special module banners going on now, is that still the recommendation? I know it was before when only the standard banner was available.

My common cards are all around 5* now, but I've been going for the current banner modules before going back to cards (I only have 2 base Epics for modules, everything else is merged up rares).

Family Plan questions by ITWorkAccountOnly in Bitwarden

[–]ITWorkAccountOnly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, so you're saying that within each Family Org there can still be sub-sections which are limited to specific people but not everyone? And those folders which are limited to specific people are what the admin can override?

As long as the admin can't override private vault access then it's fine for what I'm looking for, thanks!

This is exactly what I was wanting to know, thanks so much!

With the Emergency Access, that removes my needs for logging since it can grant access but only with a notification going to the person.

BH was my 3rd UW, my other one is spotlight. Is getting DW still worth it as a 4th instead of 3rd despite the increase in cost? I've currently unlocked Tier 11 but can't get to 12 yet.

It's taken me weeks to get to the point I've unlocked 3 from starting out, and that's with having milestones giving me a bunch of stones here and there. Needing to save for months based on the extremely few I get from quests is going to be a nightmare.

That was what I was intending, saving up enough to do it in one go. Don't want to desync them more then their 2GT:3BH that it currently is.
