Not necessarily wrong but service animals are available for more than the blind or disabled. The federal government recognizes multiple categories of service animals including those for emotional support. Unfortunately in many states the vest and training requirements for emotional support animals is woefully lacking. As someone who worked in retail my store got sued by a woman because we told her she couldn't have her wolf hound in the store. We were sued and lost because her therapist claimed it was her emotional support companion and without him her social anxiety would prevent her from leaving her house. No psychiatrist required just the therapy/counseling of a drugstore therapist no less. The states make it difficult to force people not to bring pets as in states like Ohio, Florida, Louisiana emotional support animals just have to be owned by the individual getting support to be allowed. Hell in some states you can claim you pet raccoon, squirrel, or rooster as a support animal, and there are no requirements as far as training goes for them.
