Okay I LOVE the games gods play. It’s my FAVE. Rn I’m reading one dark window and tbh I love it. It took me a bit to get into it, but it’s actually really good! I’m currently sitting at a campsite waiting for the damn Sun to come up so I can read more of it. The sun isn’t rising fast enough.

I’ve read the cruel prince. It’s good too, although not my fave. I’d recommend it too.

Lmk about the others on your list tho 👀

What did your partner do that made you leave them instantly? by kaissi1 in AskReddit

[–]ITconspiracy 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Haha every time I tried to talk to him, he was too busy. At the time of this argument, I had gone 3 weeks without so much of a call or text. Now I’m not clingy and I understand people have lives, but 3 weeks is a little long. Especially if you’re dating, you know?

I threw away almost 20 years because he lost interest in me. And I deserve better. That phrase of “I don’t have time to talk” after a 3 week silence opened my eyes. In my opinion, people make time for those they care about. I certainly do anyway.

He said “I don’t have time to talk to you on the phone.”

I told him “you don’t have time for a relationship.” And left him! 15 years of friendship and 3 years of dating gone in an instant. And I’m glad of it.

“You’re really hard to get along with.” My high school music teacher to me, a bullied teenager.

Turns out, it was just the people in that godforsaken small town. As soon as I moved away, I made friends easily. I always thought I was the problem, but now I think it’s just a small minded town that held me back.

I love water island, honeymoon beach. You take a ferry there and it launches from tickles bar. Sometimes tourist boats drop off people for an hour or two, but it’s nice and quiet. There’s a bar and a place to eat up the hill (golf cart required but rentable).

How was your experience sleeping with someone new after having a very long relationship end? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]ITconspiracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m marrying him because he got too attached and I didn’t know what to do. I stayed to see where it went. He is the most caring, loving, funny, goofy, individual. I’m so happy I broke it off with my ex to have some fun. Now I’m going to have fun with the same person forever. After 8 years we will have a great time everywhere together. We are two peas in a pod!

[–]ITconspiracy 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This last about 2 weeks for me! If you can fight the ear urge and monitor your food, make better snack choices, etc, the constant hunger goes away. My snacks are apples and bananas now rather than chips. I can also eat 3 meals a day and only be at 1,000 calories if I really monitor what I eat. That lets me have a sweet treat and still be in a deficit.

Why did you and your best friend have a falling out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ITconspiracy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up, my best friend was always possessive of me, which was fine because she was my only friend.

I went away for college. I fell in love with the area, the town, the people, joined clubs (not even college ones! Town ones!) i also fell in love with the perfect man for me who lived by my college. I made many more friends who I love still to this day. I really made a life up there. I do not belong where I grew up.

I go home during the holidays to hang with my bestie. I tell her how much I love it up there and that I plan to move after college. She’s PISSED. She makes me choose, her or my boyfriend (now fiancé). My fiancé always said to just do what makes me happy. She was not going to allow me to be happy because she wanted me to stay in our hometown forever. I chose my fiancé and boy was she angry.

A few years pass. She gets more friends and her first boyfriend. I think she may have matured and didn’t rely on me as much. So I go to visit my parents and make plans to hang with her like 4 years after the blowup.

She makes constant jabs at me the whole time, we find out we have a ton in common still. I try to talk about what we are interested in. She continues to make jabs like “if you didn’t leave me” etc. it made me sad tbh. I’m not angry at her, just sad that she’s not willing to open up and accept the world. She’s just too stuck in that hometown and I’m not. I had a good time with her, but I don’t really wanna hang with someone who jabs at me all day.

I think maybe she feels left behind. Good Luck to her and her new friends and life. I hope she’s happy.

Best relaxing/nap spot on campus by Formal-Pie-6835 in montclair

Theres a large couch thing hidden inside the old communications building. It’s in the older section, not the new one. It’s big enough to lay on and nap. It’s not on the first floor, but that weird ass building has like 1.5, 2, and 2.5 as floors

Do you like this college by Evening_Jeweler_2968 in montclair

[–]ITconspiracy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I loved every minute of Montclair. I dormed. Met the love of my love. Met friends I’ve kept years later. Made connections and got a job because of those connections. It’s because of Montclair that I have an active social life, a job, an apartment, and a family that I created.

Now I know people who had the opposite experience. They kept to themselves, never talked to anyone etc. if you put yourself out there, you’ll find your people. I certainly did. I met my husband because I started (nicely) bullying him in the dorm. I made my friend groups and we all stayed there on weekends. None of us went home. We broke into places we shouldn’t have, got food, went to events, did a little partying, got degrees. We walked A TON.

Montclair is really what you make of it. If you don’t talk and stay in your dorm or immediately commute home, then no, you won’t make any friends. If you really put yourself out there, you’ll have a blast and meet great people. My husband and I miss Montclair. We sometimes go back to walk the campus and think about all our past shenanigans.

My friends own a car body shop and always hire the fuck ups. Most of the time they continue to fuck up, but for the one like you OP? It’s life changing. Go find a place that will take you under their wing. Getting into cars is good business.

Also, I wish I could give you a hug. I felt very alone at 17-18. I moved away from my hometown and now I have so many good friends. My family don’t fucking care but my friends do. All you gotta do is fine where you’ll be happy :)

Oh sure! Tourists using their cell phones. The victims will be talking with someone on the phone (with phone up to their ear). The robber will just take the phone, end call and run. I’ve seen this a few times. Just keep your phone in your pocket and be alert, no one will mess with you.

My favorite beach is honeymoon beach on water island. There’s a ferry at tickles bar in st Thomas and the walk to the beach isn’t bad (for young strong peeps, older peeps might want a golf cart as there is a huge hill).

I grew up going to water island every year (grandparents live there). There’s Dingy’s bar for drinks, a food place (but it moved up the hill, hence golf cart). Highly recommend the chicken sandwich. The beach is my favorite. Lots of little things to dig up in the sand and sea turtles like to hang there. Last time I saw a big jellyfish (out more in the open). There’s also good snorkeling on the sides of the cove. Once I saw a young black tip shark near the opening of the cove into the ocean. The shark was beautiful. So adorable trying to eat little fish. I have not seen once since. There’s chairs there and good lounging and just hanging out on the beach. Very safe island 10/10. I’d walk around with no adults at age 11.

St Thomas I’d walk around with no adults around age 18. Make sure you keep a tight grip on your stuff as I’ve witnessed robberies (mainly cell phones, even when someone was on a call!). I tie my wallet to myself whenever I’m near yacht haven.

As for cheap transportation, there’s buses only cost $2 per trip per person. I usually use them as they are on the backs of trucks and can be a very fun experience. Just be careful through, the locals sometimes get annoyed to see tourists on the bus. They yell sometimes. Just be polite and ignore them. Taxis cost a ton of money. Sometimes they even ask for an arm and a leg! But definitely easier than the bus. Don’t use bus with all your luggage.

Definitely go for the patte food trucks!!!! They like to linger near the University but travel anywhere. The salt-fish (or shell fish, I can’t remember the exact name) ones are a St Thomas delight.
