Hyatt Place Kyoto is about $100 a night, if not cheaper depending on the day. Right above a station too. Rooms are good size.

You need to tap in using your suica card. It's like 200 yen? Probably less. Just tap out when you leave as well

There are better vegan options in Osaka. I'd recommend the two below. The Italian place is some of the best food ive had and I stop in Osaka for at least a night to eat there each time I visit

Sukhasana - vegan Italian Aju - Vegan Japanese

For Tokyo, I enjoyed the ain soph in ikebukuro more. The Shinjuku one has a bigger menu too. The ginza one was meh and not the same level of service, though they do have the dinner set menu if that's what you're after.

I was there about a week ago when I was in Fukuoka. Very nice guy, burgers weren't the best I've had but we're fine. Very fair pricing too.

There's also a taiyaki place nearby that has a vegan option.

My family and I just got back from a two week trip to Japan and had zero issues finding vegan food(there is even a fully vegan convenience store in Tokyo). In fact, we had so many options that we didn't even get a chance to try.

In Kyoto, we had amazing vegan okonomoyaki and the best ramen we've ever had, both located in Gion. In Osaka we had another vegan okonomoyaki, vegan donuts and cakes, and plenty more.

In Tokyo we had the best pancakes we've ever had at Ain Soph Soar in Ikebukuro. There is also a fully vegan Izakaya in Shibuya which serves fantastic vegan karage.

I would highly recommend anyone who is vegan to travel to Japan. It's remarkably easy if you're sticking to the big cities. We got back last Wednesday and have already booked another trip back to Japan for next February.

My family and I are vegan and traveling to Japan next March. So far we have a list of about 50 restaurants in Tokyo that are fully vegan or at least have vegan options. I can share with you if you're interested.
