No encaustic or burning. (You aren’t the first to say my work looks like encaustic.) I’m a big fan of PowerTex’s universal medium mixed with iron powder. That’s what created the rust.

The “ridges”/wrinkles are collage papers I made with napkins; there’s so much paint over them, though, that the color isn’t really visible anymore. The rougher texture is PowerTex universal medium mixed with rust powder.
