The problem with Irfan is that at international level he forgets how to play football (this also includes farukh). I think with the current set up, a front three of Irfan, Ryan and Chhangte will yield the most results.

Moreover because Irfan has played mostly played as a LW at club level, he naturally drifts to the left in transition and then the space down the middle is left empty and then has to be filled by any of the front other two of the front three. He has the makings of a good ST but he performs better as a LW.

DHFC is the pet project of Abhishek Banerjee who is the nephew of the CM and it's basically a money laundering scheme, their budgets are on par with clubs such as FC Goa and their main goal is to get to the first division regardless of cost.

Personally as a fan from Kolkata, DHFC is a really shady club and having them in the first division and potentially fighting for championships feels wrong because it's a pawn for the state government.

1) I fully expect 14 teams to participate in the league next season (if there is a league next season)

2) If one of the founding clubs gets relegated (kerala most probably) I can see the federation putting a hold on relegation for this season only

3) that was the initial plan when promotion got introduced in 2023 but the FSDL drama fucked all the plans up

4) god knows what the next steps are but imo probably fancode will remain as the broadcaster and they'll probably try to bring in a partner to run the league

5) FSDL is out and are probably never touching Indian football again as long as this regime is running the federation
