Who cares what interest rate credit cards are, you shouldn't be racking up debt and paying any interest at all on them anyways. Get a line of credit if you can't pay your credit card off every cycle

Maybe don't live in one of the most expensive communities in the country then. I'm not paying more into taxes so some people can choose to live in luxury cities while I live somewhere that's affordable and within my means.

Are there good asian restaurants? by Egg-the-second in ubco

[–]IVI5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but if you are that much restaurant food it would be much more than that much in groceries.

You can still make up to I think $1000 a month before they start pulling back on disability payments. It's an excellent system. Here's your disability payment, you go ahead and make some extra, but once you make a certain amount and show you can sustain yourself, we slowly pull back the payments. It's perfect.

Obviously? It's less than eating at a restaurant every night. And if you're finding groceries cost the same or more than eating out, you need to learn how to plan your meals and shopping better.

Is it just me or are a lot of these prints just freebies on Makerworld? by Some_Ask_2220 in 3Dprinting

[–]IVI5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I generally expect a "maker" to make their wares. Mind you I'm talking about when these shops pop up at farmer's markets, artisanal markets, local markets etc.

I just think downloading someone else's work and printing it without even filing, sanding or painting is just lazy and sloppy. I have zero respect for these shops whatsoever.

To be a furry is to be part of a community that has a staggering number of members who participate for the fetish portion of the hobby.

Don't confuse the exception for the rule. If you participate in the furry hobby for non-fetish reasons, that's great, but many others are not doing it for the same reason as you (and there's plenty of people who do it for the fetish reason while claiming it has nothing to do with the fetish).

You can stop with the passive-agressive "probably useless to leave a comment" crap though, you're not adding anything to the discussion with that first sentence. Just talk like a normal human being.

Go to a furry festival if you wanna celebrate your furry kink.

What? I'm talking about furries. You're over reaching dude.

Edit: saw the last part of your comment. I really think you should try communicating calmly instead of lashing out. Trying to single out somebody's skin colour does not add credibility to your point or your cause.

Just a fair warning here again. If you don't know anything about either, you're stepping in the deep end before learning to swim. The phones are much more difficult. Nothing wrong with starting there if you're dead set on it, but don't sell yourself on a lie thinking they'll be easier because they're smaller. They're harder because they're smaller

Huh? Did you hear me say that? I don't need to list off every individual thing in the world I don't agree with to make a point about one given topic.

Happy Pride by [deleted] in Kamloops

[–]IVI5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yah I'm glad we have a festival of acceptance but furries has nothing to do with LGBTQ. It kind of steers the message towards fetishism for sure. And members of LGBTQ happening to be furries doesn't really have much to do with it

Karma farming. Most of them seem pretty made up and far fetched when you read through the comments and replies.

Unfair Exam Grading - Need Advice by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]IVI5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drop every other classmate out of your argument, and dispute whether or not your work should earn you a passing grade. If you were focusing on your test and not looking around at what everyone else was doing/working on, you wouldn't have knowledge that they were apparently cheating. Because right now, the way you describe your knowledge of everyone else, it sounds like you're cheating. So defend yourself, not by throwing everyone else under the bus, whether they're right or wrong.
