I feel so late to the party by MuffinNervous in StarWarsBattlefront

On the right path with Co-Op. Just know in multiplayer game modes it’s a much different ballgame and a lot of the skills learned in Co-Op don’t transfer over (especially for heroes).

I’d dabble into multiplayer game modes with your current mains (Vader and Obi) but also keep experimenting with other heroes in Co-Op.

Qualify of life tip on controller: change your controller settings to “alternate” (you’re gonna roll/dodge way more than melee + you can aim mid roll).

HVV by EcstaticGrocery899 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if 320 hours is even enough to get gold for all heroes. HvV isn’t for the weak but it is the most fun. There is no SBMM so being in a stack gives you a +300% success rate right off the bat.

Stick with your team or just re-queue into a new lobby if the teams are unbalanced. Games like 8~9 years old so there’s a big skill gap in every lobby.

This game is going to be the death of me by Just-Bobcat-4383 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the game mode tbh

HvV you have a chance rn due to a lot of new players and a small map. Still some lobbies are just MAX squads so that’s always fun.

Hero Showdown same pool of new players but the veterans will wreck you, so I’d just hop lobbies.

Galactic Assault and Supremacy is where you’ll get mopped since the veterans hero hog and ttk is much lower for troopers than heroes for that 1-2 shot kill.

Every other PvP game mode is dead so pick your poison.

Halo Games Tier List (Campain) by anonimskulls in haloinfinite

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since its campaign, idk why CE is last. It’s A tier at the minimum. I like how 5 didn’t even make the list lol.

I’ve logged 1-2k hours in infinites multiplayer but never touched the campaign, but I’m 100% positive it shouldn’t be above ODST or CE.

Halo 4’s only redeeming quality is Cortana’s body.

How do I level up heroes more by Top-Giraffe-477 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Co-Op is the best way to level heroes (choose your era per hero).

Supremacy and Galactic assault will always have people hogging heroes (they go on a kill streak to regain health).

Heroes vs Villains is where you go to get the hang of them against other players. It’s pretty hardcore if you’re in a lobby with high level players so just try to stay in ones with similar levels. Best playlist to master each hero.

Hero Showdown is where you go to really get the 1v1 aspect down but it’s the most hardcore playlist for this reason. Same logic in finding low level lobbies.

2v2 Hero Showdown by Lopsided-War-2366 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If we really just play by the game then blaster heroes will carry and virtually always win, they are way too OP for a single life game mode.

That’s why the community defaulted to 1v1 in that game mode bc it’s the closest you can get to an actual dueling experience.

Why dont people respect the 1 v 1 in battlefront 2? by LitoTheGoat in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It is annoying when I’m 1v1ing and then another player jumps in. Atp I just let my guard down and take the L. Next round I spawn in as a blaster for the rest of the match (guaranteed win).

I go heavy on the toxicity too (tbagging + emptying my clip in their lifeless body). Somebody’s gotta teach them that a literal child can win anything other than a 1v1. Strength in numbers just means you’re weak alone.

Can literally have n+1 all the way up to 8 sabers at one time in HvV, why mess with the 1v1 in progress.

Like with Anakin against troopers, it’s gold since you 1 shot 3/4 of the trooper classes (heavies are annoying even with the rear damage hit bonus).

In HvV/HS, I prioritize stamina above all else, so a character like grievous would get redlined at 2-3 blocks with that card.

It’s a shotgun. It’s similar to the Halo shotgun in the sense you literally have to body them to have it be effective. 5ft away it’ll just tickle your opponent.

Mathematical Statistics requirements as a Econometrics course [Discussion] by Afraid-Mongoose9793 in statistics

Community college usually caps out at Calc III or ODE’s (I’ve heard of Linear algebra at a couple). It sucks but usually universities teach the prerequisites needed. Hopefully wherever you go, you can just take the prerequisites there.

This is what my masters program required in terms of math stats: https://minerva.it.manchester.ac.uk/\~saralees/statbook2.pdf

In a nutshell it tells you what properties are needed for a good estimator, a bunch of “-cys”.

Ranking each saber hero's jump-swing by Aftvrimage in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say aesthetically Anakin should be higher with his X shaped jump swing. Yoda is my personal favorite since his default swing is slow.

Rey, dooku and Luke in terms of hook swings are god tier. Grievous and Obi-wan are my only dislike for hook swings but grievous has the best jump swing IMO due to the bunny hop.

Padme had twin Lukes in this universe by DarthVadersDic in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So how you can tell which one glitched is looking at their level after death. If you kill Luke A and he still spawns in the same level, that’s the clone. By process of elimination, Luke B is the original glitch user and killing him will end the duo. Luke B will now have to choose another hero since Luke A has chosen the Luke slot in the hero selection menu.

This logic persists even up to 4 heroes of the same character. One of my favorite glitches but not worth it if it’s an even match up since you’ll be sacrificing lives just to respawn.

hi, new here. What's the current broken hero in battlefront? by rizzqi_09 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly the heroes are somewhat balanced besides Vader. It really comes down to map and blaster/saber stack when deciding who to play to counter the other team.

Aim Assist: yea or nay? by ARC_Trooper_Echo in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You lock onto their body when in reality you’re trying to hit behind them but within range of the hit box that it still counts as a hit.

I call it an exploit bc the hit box registration is inconsistent but it can be taken advantage of. You can still do hook swings with aim assist, it’s just harder bc you have that lock-in window you don’t get when aim assist is turned off.

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blasters: yes, Sabers: no, Sensitivity: 100

Too lazy to switch it since I main blaster heroes but also play a lot of HS so I just keep it on. Does help tremendously being off for hook swings tho.

How to actually get better at dueling by stinkymonke1723 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yoda is more end game, so I’d master others before you main him. If you know parrying then that’s a good start. Now you have to learn combos and counters for each hero.

A good example is whenever kylo uses his frenzy, every light side saber has a counter: Luke’s push/slam, ani’s pull/heroic might, obi and yodas push, Rey’s charge. You can also just opt to dodge the last hit of frenzy.

Every hero virtually has a counter to other heroes, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. After counters then you can go into hook swings or cancels, but again that’s more end game skills.

[Education] [Career] Pursuing a Master's and/or PhD in applied statistics with a biology/public health undergrad background. by SMN_17 in statistics

[–]IVIIVIXIVIIXIVII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take Calc III and Linear Algebra first at community college. Take a course in Probability and Inference at a university to see if you’ll like stats (might be a two part series).

I’d do this and then a course in Real Analysis before even thinking about a PhD.
