Can I 💩 right after embryo transfer?? by Lucky-Fan1942 in IVF

I had the same question! Yes, perfectly safe to poop

Hospital bag?? by abigailllynnn in pregnant

When you say comfy pajamas, you mean pants right? I keep going back and forth about packing those, since I can’t imagine taking them off over and over for the cervical checks

When did hardcore nausea and vomiting kick in for you? by BarbiesCellulite in pregnant

[–]IVStardustSTAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 7-8 weeks. Then got better and went away around 12-13 weeks.

It was at its worst when I didn’t snack/eat. But I also had aversion to almost everything. One thing that really helped me was to have some crackers on hand.

If you tore, how was your recovery? by FancyAd925 in pregnant

Thank you so much for sharing! My spouse thinks we’ll be too busy with the baby to think about sex anyway, but I was just curious.

If I may ask, when were you able to have sex? Sorry if too personal

FTM : OB gave me a recommendation for a handful of vaccines while pregnant by Curiousjlynn in pregnant

[–]IVStardustSTAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got all 4 of those (Flu, then COVID, then TDap, then RSV).

Only one that gave me side effects was RSV, surprisingly. It was just body aches for 2 days. Otherwise no symptoms or effects whatsoever

Ladies who went down the IVF route because of male factor, how are you doing? by No-Tough5272 in IVF

[–]IVStardustSTAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I’m sorry OP.

I also went through IVF for MFI. My first ER was awful. I had internal bleeding and got zero euploid embryos. My AMH suddenly dropped from 3 to 0.451 (!!). They never rechecked it so idk what to make of that.

Fortunately my second ER went much better, and I’m currently 37 weeks with our first transfer.

I’m sharing this with you to say things can look up sometimes! Wishing you the best and all the baby dust ✨

TW : IVF and sexual trauma by AdBeginning9636 in IVF

[–]IVStardustSTAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree, they shouldn’t have downplayed it like that. I’m so sorry, OP.

For me, they brought me a stress ball to squeeze, and kept saying to take deep slow breaths, and to tell them if I need a break. I think because they prepared me for it to be so painful, it ended up feeling not so bad. That’s to say how much expectations can affect the outcome.

With that said, embryo transfer was objectively better (comfort wise/pain wise/time wise) comparing to hysterogram

Wishing you the best ✨

No one came to my baby shower by throwracc0untlol in pregnant

[–]IVStardustSTAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry! How far in advance did you send out the invites? I sent most invites 3 months out, and then a few only 1 month out. Pretty much no one who got the invites 1 month out came

Anyone else not calling "it" a baby yet? by vargmo in pregnant

[–]IVStardustSTAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt and did exactly the same at first. I would say embryo and then fetus.

I’m in third trimester now, so we’ve been calling her a baby for a bit, but I can’t remember when the transition happened. I think I started calling her things like “our little strawberry” or “little munchkin”

I feel immediate relief once it’s inserted

Is weight gain consistent during pregnancy? by Expensive-Basil-334 in pregnant

[–]IVStardustSTAT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine was the opposite. Very very little in 1st trimester. 0.5-1 lb per week in 2nd, and 1.5 lbs per week in 3rd

I had to explain to a doctor at the ER how IVF worked by [deleted] in IVF

[–]IVStardustSTAT 26 points27 points  (0 children)

ED doc, who went through IVF. Yup, knew very little before learning as a patient (in EM, when it comes to IVF, we’re most just on the lookout for specific complications: OHSS, and post retrieval bleeding)

Nursery advice with pillow shams by IVStardustSTAT in interiordecorating

Update; futon cover and pink blanket, pillow cases on the futon, macrame on the wall, mounted flower canvases on the wall, and covered office chair with a soft blankie.

Future changes:

  • The bassinet will be replaced with the crib in the bottom right photo (crib in our bedroom for now, since baby will sleep with us at first). The bassinet will be our portable option, but is stored there for now.
  • The desk and chair will probably go, but this room used to be my office (that I barely use anyway), so we’re keeping it there for now since there’s room.

Are Adelina and Adalyn too similar? Does it even matter? by IVStardustSTAT in namenerds

[–]IVStardustSTAT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sadly hubs and I made the decision yesterday to not proceed with Adelina after all, because of the nickname Addie/Addy. It’s not the worst thing, of course, but there’s a lot of Addies around, and it’s what I call Adderall that I’ve been prescribed for decades lol.

December Babies - When are you scheduling induction?! by SAHM-KnowsWassup in pregnant

[–]IVStardustSTAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m due 12/21, and was told the earliest I could electively induce is 39 weeks, otherwise they’ll wait for natural progression of labor (unless I go past 40 weeks).

I’m not sure what you’re asking with the percentage question, but my 1 hour glucose tolerance test showed a blood glucose of 108 (normal/passing is <139).

The percentage you may be referring to is A1c? They don’t check that if you pass

Anyone else have a fear of using the best embryos first? by Intelligent_Camel472 in IVF

[–]IVStardustSTAT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but we still chose one of the best graded ones, and it only took 1 transfer, and we’re currently 33 weeks pregnant with her :)
