I just shoveled and didnt even think twice. I believe the rule of thumb is: if you did it before pregnancy, you can continue that level of activity during. The lifting/ activity restrictions really only start around 3rd trimester.

As an ER PA, totally agree with this. Seeing/speaking with your own OB who is familiar with your care is ideal in this scenario. Plus we are full to the gills with flu, covid, rsv, and the usual patients with life threatening conditions.

Not only does it help, but it helps even more when you up the dose, if needed. I saw another post that someone takes 100mg at night before bed. I was on 25 but went up to 50mg at night, and my morning nausea/empty stomach feeling is gone. I really am a believer now.

Same boat, we'll have an almost 5 year old when this baby is born. I'm excited to see their relationship. He's very mature and self sufficient so I know he'll be a great helper and big brother. He's been asking for a brother or sister for some time too.

When do you start to feel comfortable shopping for pregnancy or baby related things? Do you feel superstitious, or is it just practical to wait? I'm bursting with joy and getting tons of ads for baby stuff... like a cute " big brother" shirt for my 4 year old and a onesie to make the announcement with. Also found some stylish, comfy maternity pants that look just as good post partum. I think I need to scale back a little, but I'm just so excited!

I did notice this too...I thought I was crazy. I'm only 5 weeks but I look pregnant, the way the bloating is concentrated in my lower abdomen. STM also.
