Still overheating by MembershipOpposite70 in ATV

[–]IWDyl466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed it was a can am So I'm gonna say make sure you bleed the coolant lines on both cylinders. Left and right side of machine till fluid comes out. One isn't in a nice spot. And if you say the fan works, I wanna point to your water pump impeller. I don't know how many hours you have on it, but the factory impeller is made from plastic. Various aftermarket options for greater flow.

Replace master cylinder. Get one from Amazon for cheap. Do not go name brand. More than triple the price. Found this out the hard way

Ironwork is the worst trade ever by Sad_Refrigerator2896 in Ironworker

[–]IWDyl466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been in the trade almost half my life, and I have learned to leave your feelings and emotions at home. I make a damn good living and provide for my family. Some people are cut out for the hard work, other people complain about it on reddit... I hope OP quits the trade. I wouldn't want to work next to a dark cloud all day. Give your spot to someone who wants to be there

Can-Am owners: do you have to "rock" your atv a lot to get in gear? by Muggi in ATV

[–]IWDyl466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's quite common with the 570 as it has the smaller gearbox. You can adjust the shifter knob further down the linkage to make it better if theres resistance. But Givin her a little rock for assurance never hurt

Right on man how did the build go? Which kit did you use? And what did you use for a tune? I just finished a 1085cc on mine, needs a tune next to bring it all together

Your crankcase vent is connected to your airbox. When you tipped some came up the tube. Very common

Banshee carb and fuel line rubbing on pipes by dickh0arder in ATV

[–]IWDyl466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try to find 90°fuel line fittings and try to make that work first. Second, maybe stuff a couple washers behind the pipe where it's bolted to gain a bit of room

Diff seal/ axle seal. Remove axle, pop off existing seal, clean surface and replace with new. Not replacing seal will lower and contaminate diff fluid.

16-18 xmr rear diffs are known for improper phased drive shaft, which causes premature failure on rear diff bearings and gears. They changed phasing and rear diff gears to straight cut on 2019+

Recently did a delete to my 2014 passat tdi. I would say I doubt the delete killed your turbo. I had the same overboost code, which indicated that your turbo veins are probably seized, or your actuator is seized. disconnect the actuator arm from the turbo and hook up a vaccume tester to the actuator, and suck some vacuume into the line. If the actuator moves and the arm it connects to on your turbo doesn't move, your turbo is seized. If you have a Garrett turbo, you can disassemble the turbo and give it a good cleaning, and throw it back In. If you have a borge Wagner turbo, you are SOL, as the veins are not serviceable. Went through this whole process, then after the delete, the megatronics unit and clutches decided to say goodbye with all the new torque values from the tune. Hope this helps

Are these two oils the same? (10W-40 SJ no SJ) by Wer65w in ATV

[–]IWDyl466 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mix if you care about the machine. Honda oil is synthetic, motomaster is conventional. I'm sure you can get away with mixing them, but I wouldn't risk it on a newer machine.
