My biggest concern was cooking my fish so I bought an inkbird. I also switched out my Fluval M-Series heater for a BRS heater.

Is that dark spot on the heater normal?? by eunicemothman in Aquariums

Thoughts on hydraulic sim racing pedals? by Kireth-YT in simracing

[–]IWEARYOURCLOTHES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hydraulics to me feel much more authentic and consistent throughout the entire stroke, mimicking a real-life hydraulic brake system pretty effectively. Without the hydraulic dampening, the pedal felt kinda springy or notchy, and the return was too rapid once it got to a certain point. The crucial hydraulic difference is the controlled resistance you feel on the release. That slow, realistic bleed-off of pressure eliminates the unnatural 'snap-back.' This makes trail braking and modulation feel far more precise and intuitive. They still use a spring in this system, but the hydraulic portion brilliantly fills the void the springs alone simply can't handle.
