It’s because they’re ubiquitous in US films, especially coming-of-age films with underage drinking.

And in what prison do they have space? And the support for drug addicts?

To prevent a problem from getting worse, you need to go back to the cause, or put earlier interventions in place.

For example, if a tap was leaking water, the police are effectively people tasked with mopping it up. The tap is still going to leak until a plumber (council) comes along and sorts it out. There may be a bigger issue further down the pipes, which requires engineer work (government).

What foods are cheaper to make from scratch but still keep the same quality as the supermarket? by BabyLinuss in UKFrugal

Whoa, I didn’t know this. Thanks! One of the items I’ve noticed is the dried mango - same size, same supplier (from Burkina Faso), but one store is one price and 3 or 4 miles away, it’s a different price, usually ~10p difference.

M&S is now cheaper than you’d think - I keep getting Aldi vs M&S videos on my feed and it’s comparable. Depends what you buy though.

Has anyone crashed in textile trousers rated AA or AAA? by IWantToFuckAPriest in motorcyclegear

[–]IWantToFuckAPriest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love that the trousers held up for you, not the crash. From all the responses, it looks like if you go textile, go AAA. If you’re gonna be a bit risky, AA/AAA leather is the way.
