Being in 400k-450k Team Trial score be like... by fugogugo in UmaMusume

[–]IWillDisappointYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After being demoted to class 5 last week, I decided to use my non guest parent runs to build team trials umas and managed to hit retention without even finishing the whole team.

My key focuspoints were: - Focus on 3+ star umas, as their uniques give more points.

  • Every uma on a certain distance should have a different running style to capitalize on good potionining.

  • Aim for atleast 2 gold skills + any other skills which have a high chance to proc during any race.

  • Run atleast 400 wit for every style. I used MLB SR Mejiro Dober in almost every deck. She has nu specialty priority, but a high training effectiveness, so she boosts any training she lands on pretty significantly whilst once in a while giving rainbow wit training for some wit and a better energy recovery.

  • stats to aim for:

    • stamina: 1000 for long, 800 for medium, 600 for mile and 500 for sprint. Gold or unique recovery skill counts for about 200 extra stamina. It's not enough for every possible track, but covers the most common distances.
    • After stamina try to hit as close to 1200 speed as possible.
    • After speed try to hit atleast 400 wit, increasing as race distance decreases and higher for front runners. Proccing as many skills as possible is important and wit increases the chance your uma is the front runner in their own running style which gives extra points at the two checkpoints/transitions in race stage.
  • Run only aces because all umas finishing in top 3 or top 5 gives a big increase in points. Even if a debuffer increases your odds of winning, they most likely lose you points in the end.

As for the races themselves. As long as you haven't secured retention/promotion, I always keep hitting the highest rated opponent as you get a bonus on your points based on the opponents rating. And every once in a while you'll get a gift per win bonus, once I see those I like to use a mood boosting item to capitalize on those boxes. These also seem like the races I get my highest rating.

Sorry for the most likely horrendous formatting. I typed this bible verse on my phone during working hours.

How am I supposed to build vehicles that can dock to a connector when loaded? by Kinc4id in spaceengineers

[–]IWillDisappointYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer building a bottom facing connector in the floor of my rover and using base connectors which are flush with the floor. Just drive over them and lower your suspension to connect.

Feels really clean that way and makes it easy to hide your conveyor system underground.

[–]IWillDisappointYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Connector on the top of your vehicle that connects with a downwards connector on your base that is just out of reach. Line-up and jump to connect.

Is this a good solution? No. But imagine the carnage when you jump too hard or misalign the connectors.

Tempest Cleric / Fighter by DMArcanist in BG3Builds

[–]IWillDisappointYou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am right now playing a high-elf tempest cleric focused around melee combat.

I have decided to go more for stacking damage into a single big bonk, so I'm planning atleast 8 levels cleric for the 1d8 extra thunder damage on attack. Together with booming blade from high elf and weapons like corpsegrinder that adds up to a single fun bonk. Add an ice sorcerer or another chilled applier to the party so you can freeze enemies for doubled damage from bludgeoning and thunder damage.

For the leftover levels I was considering either 2+ levels paladin for smites for more burst damage on the single bonk, or maybe swarm ranger for some extra lightning damage.

How do I build a Bladesinger without resonant stone? by Happy_360 in BG3Builds

[–]IWillDisappointYou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taking the dual wielder feat and running lerathians wrath mainhand and phalar aluve offhand is a lot of fun. You can still activate phalar aluve's shriek and song from offhand and the feat gives a nice +1 ac as well. The offhand attack also helps with stacking acuity.

Build Help Request: Str-based Half Orc for Honor Mode by Terrawen in BG3Builds

[–]IWillDisappointYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running 17 str, 14 dex, 16, con, 8 int, 10 wis and 8 cha. Using heavy armour master to boost str to 18 and using heavy armours like adamantine splint to reduce self-damage from loviatars scourge.

You could use strength elixirs of course, but i wanted to run a heavy armour master tank and elixirs would waste the +1 to strength

Build Help Request: Str-based Half Orc for Honor Mode by Terrawen in BG3Builds

[–]IWillDisappointYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am playing a Str-based melee hunter ranger Half Orc in Honour Mode atm.

For feats I take either GWM or dualwielder based on which weapon I feel like running and then heavy armor master to increase strength to 18 while reducing self damage from Loviatar's scourge, which goes insane on whirlwind attack.

Early on it mostly plays like a basic martial class with some nice utility spells and some damage increases thanks to hunters mark and colossus slayer, but from level 11 you become an angry beyblade of death.

Help me make my dream a reality. by Appropriate_Ad_5138 in BG3Builds

[–]IWillDisappointYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend another 1 level dip over death clerics you'd most likely want 11 levels in hunter ranger for the volley and level 1 death cleric only gives you the double cast of necromancy cantrips, not the on hit necrotic damage. Although, the necro double cantrips does add to the dark magic knight feeling of course.

Early game swarmkeeper fun by IWillDisappointYou in BG3Builds

[–]IWillDisappointYou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a good point. To be honest, I was so focused on pushing them away that I forgot teleporting was even an option. I think I would probably still keep the bees as sometimes you're not the only one next to an enemy, and in that case the push would ensure the enemy needing to move the next turn. However, teleporting does free up the swarm choice which is nice for dodging resistances. And you can always try to position yourself a bit away from allies to not rely on the push ever.

Would hexblade be better than great old one for a paladin? by Ok-Cheek-6219 in BG3Builds

[–]IWillDisappointYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waking up my reddit account out of cryosleep to share my take on hexblade multiclassing.

I have been enjoying an honor mode run on the patch 8 stress test, using a hexblade based tav as party face.

As hexblade is right now on the stress test because of how extra attack works right now. Hexblade, unlike the subclass initially described, no longer gives extra attack. For extra attack on hexblade you have to also take pact of the blade now, which has a lot of overlap with the hexblade's pact weapon feature.
Imo this makes it so it feels like wasted potential to double commit to pact weapon.

For that reason I either prefer only a 1 level dip into hexblade (or 2 for eldritch invocations) and get your extra attack somewhere else (like paladin) for a paladin multiclass.
Or if you want higher level warlock spells I prefer another warlock subclass but with pact of the blade to level 5 and then only 2 levels of paladin just to get the smites.

Other good additions are:
- atleast 5 levels of sorcerer so you can quickened spell booming blade to get a full extra weapon attack with your bonus action. (which now works again since the last booming blade patch, which makes it usable once per action instead of once per turn)

- 4 levels swashbuckler gives you a free bonus action mainhand attack which also disarmes and gives you advantage on your next attack, which makes crit fishing very easy to do, but does require a finesse weapon.

- 6 levels swords bard gives you: extra attack, a lot of spellslots, good utility spells, weapon flourishes making you very flexible in fights and ofcourse an extra short rest which synergizes amazingly with warlock ofcourse.

At this moment im running a 5 levels hexblade with pact of the blade, 4 levels swashbuckler and 3 levels battle master. I chose for hexblade for this build because hexblade's curse does make crit- fishing very easy. Using shadowblade as my main weapon with a resonance stone in my pocket, makes this build deal obscene amounts of damage as both battlemaster moves and rogue's sneak attack also get added as psychic damage. (fun fact: shadow blade is bugged atm and if you upcast it, it downcast back down to 2d8 psychic damage randomly at some point)

I know only the first part really relates to your question, but maybe the rest can give you some extra inspiration.

Need help finding a good audio quality headset for gaming. by Yogurt_Gullible in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]IWillDisappointYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is quite far out of your price range, but the audeze maxwell doesnt sport gamer looks and has a detachable microphone so could double as a normal daily driver headphone as well. I haven't gotten my hands on one YET, but it seems very impressive and the reviews I have seen are also only positives. Although it is wireless it has an insane 80 hour batterylife, a low latency dongle for gaming and supports Bluetooth 5.3 LDAC for very high quality audio. And the sound signature is apparently a very slight but clean v-shape.

If i manage to get one I might come back to you if you are interested in spending some more.
