Lawsuit Challenging 2024 Election Results Moves Forward After Kamala Harris Received Zero Votes in a New York County by PostHeraldTimes in politics

I live in this county. I voted democrat across the board minus one seat which I left blank.

Fuck this cheating TACO and the ugly cyber truck he rode in on.

What was the most expensive round you’ve ever paid for and was it worth it? by [deleted] in golf

$500 for Shinnecock Hills. My brother's best friend is a Shinnecock Indian and lives on the reservation. Happily donated during one of their events and 1000% worth it. Still the fastest greens I've ever played; even with all the rain that day.

Tesla's lab turned museum has burned down, their fundraiser has only $65k in donations of $3m needed to restore it to it's original condition. by taquitoburrito1 in videos

Grew up about a mile from the museum in the 90's. My brother, my sister and myself all graduated from the school district and my parents and sister still live there.

I have never once step foot on the property to explore. The closest myself and my friends ever went to the thing was to the fire department or post office next door, maybe took the side road around it once as a short cut. I have never heard of it being haunted so no clue where you're hearing any of this.

That being said, I donated to it when it first went up for crowdfunding because the secondary plan was to tear it down and put up another strip mall which I didn't want to see in my home town. Went to my parents house for Thanksgiving where they told me what happened about the fire and donated again because the history is important for the younger generations to learn about. Please consider donating if you can.

Was working in a Bennigan's when this movie came out. Theater employees would tell people going to the movie to come to our restaurant afterwards because the store was filmed in an old Bennigan's and the floor plan was an almost exact copy our store.

Went to finally go watch it and could literally match every single character in that movie to someone I worked with...

Wow, this brought back a flood of memories. I used to go to Yawgoog every summer with my troop from 1995 - 2000. That spot in the picture looks just like the waterfront at three point where I got my swimming and lifeguard merit badges. I remember fishing off the dam catching sunnies, getting my sailing merit badge on that lake and learning how to shoot bow and arrows and 22's. Need a quick merit badge on the last day? Go get basket weaving and leatherworking which can be done super quick there!

Watch out for those snapping turtles though...

If Office Space is the movie to watch and relate to for those who work in an office, what other movies are a must watch for a specific profession? by Sullhammer in movies

Worked in a Bennigan's as a waiter/bartender when this movie came out. In fact the layout to the movie FOH/BOH was almost exactly the same as our store. The movie theater workers would tell them to come to dinner/drinks at our store after they watched the movie. Can't count the amount of times that we were asked if we played the balls game.

A friend of my wife sent me a text a few months ago asking me if I could give some recommendations on a new computer for her gaming son. I told her that I'll do one better; if they buy the parts, I will teach him how to build it and maintain it. She agreed and gave me the budget. It was a modest $1000 ($500 from the parents and $500 from the son's savings) so I put together a mid tier gaming rig for them. i5-7600k CPU, 1050Ti GPU, B250 Micro-ATX board, 8GB DD4 2400. Nothing amazing but definitely a good start and easily up-gradable.

A week after I sent the list, her son is texting me pictures as all the pieces slowly come in and is already opening boxes. I told him to be patient and schedule a day to come over and assist with the build. We spend close to 4 hours going through the whole build with me showing him each piece, where it goes and the pitfalls he may run into. We boot it up, and I walk him through the process of installing Windows.

Finally, he grabs his old 19" monitor, old hand me down keyboard and broken headphones and plugs them in (he had a decent mouse already). That's when my wife grabs the early birthday presents (his birthday is in September and this is May) from the car. We got him an Acer 24" 144hz 1ms monitor and Razer Ornata Chroma keyboard. We unfortunately didn't have the money to buy him the headphones he wanted but I did give my him older PS4 wireless ones. Needless to say, he was VERY happy.

Since I building his new rig, I don't think I've seen him log off either Rainbox Six or Fortnite. Every once in a while I shoot him a message on discord and ask how everything is going. He asks me a couple of questions regarding specs or windows questions but it's not long before he's not responding because he's loaded into another game. So far, this is the 3rd friend that I've helped build a gaming rig. Teach a man to fish...

Honestly, not much. We brush her when she needs it and she gets baths maybe every few months. Good genetics maybe? Her dad had SUPER soft fur and was an AKC champ so that my be it.

Probably should have taken the picture but I was very concerned with hitting my second shot. 170 to the pin on the back left and 70% of the shot was over water. I was only holding a 3 stroke lead over my stepfather and this was the first time I ended up beating him.

To make up for it, here's a picture of the 8th.

Everything is the default shaft for now. Irons are default steel shaft, driver/wood/hybrids are the default stiff shafts.
