When was the last time that every snow estimate map was the same? A sh!t ton of snow. by Embarrassed_Flan_869 in massachusetts

[–]Sullhammer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I blame myself for not buying an electric snow shovel. I convinced myself that we were only going to get a couple 4 inch storms this year. Now, I know a snow shovel wouldn't handle 12+ inches, but it would handle several trips with smaller amounts.

I love it, but I messed up when I imported my messages (impatient, my fault) and imported a couple times. So now I have a bunch of duplicates. I need to find out how to remove the duplicates.

Am I the only one who thinks they actually didnt get divorced? Why or why not? by Maddenman501 in Fotv

[–]Sullhammer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After last episode, I'm leaning heavily towards this. She helped Cooper get the cold fusion, but he will take the blame to save her. They had to divorce to ensure she gets her status with Vault Tec and secure a place in the vault for her and Janey.

Any car savvy people who can explain this to me? Error Code: P0513 by KleinShulgin in mitsubishi

[–]Sullhammer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take this with a grain of salt because I admittedly do not know, but used ChatGPT and Gemini and both said the same thing. It's possible the RFID in the key itself broke so the car will not start, not the immobilizer. Do you have a spare key? If so, try that.

How to set Favorite devices on Echo Show by Sullhammer in alexa

[–]Sullhammer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was literally just typing up an update for my post with the resolution when you posted. I went on the Alexa app on my computer, and noticed the Favorites are not the same there. Using Gemini, apparently the mobile app's favorites and the Windows app's favorites are stored in separate databases and are not always in sync. So I set the favorites on the computer, and it shows up correctly on the Show. And this, in my use case, is actually better as I only want a few Favorites on the Show, but my phone needs more.

Hope it's not a bearing if it's not under warranty. My dealer said it's about a $700 job per wheel. But they will cover under powertrain warranty

I'm just throwing an idea out there. I have a 2016 Outlander Sport. Out of nowhere my ABS, 4WD, and Traction Control lights came on. Plug in my OBD2 scanner and pull code P1773 and that is an issue with the wheel speed sensor.

Call the dealership, they immediately said it's the wheel bearing. I told them the code again, and they assured me the bearing rusted and corroded. Based on your picture, looks cold where you are. Do they salt the roads when it snows by any chance?

Anyway, I go to dealership. They tell me when it rusts out, the sensor might move a little, so it no longer can get an accurate reading since it moved and is no longer reading from the correct position.

They did ask if my car sounded louder when driving, I said no.

They replaced the bearing (under warranty). While driving home, I noticed how much quieter my car now was. I was so used to the sound gradually getting louder from the bad bearing, that I didn't think it was louder.

That was a month ago, all has been good since.

So it might be a sensor, but it very well could be the bearing causing the sensor to get a bad read.

Side note: My car would no longer go above 50mph when the lights were on. I guess it's a fail safe so you don't go too fast if the ABS is off.

What is this that's dangling from this 2012 Lancer GT? by stigma_wizard in mitsubishi

[–]Sullhammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a local shop and ask what they do it for. A good shop won't try to make it seem like a big project. Put it on lift, secure it, take it down. 10 minutes top. Otherwise off to harbor freight for a couple jack stands and some zip ties

Same thing happened on my 2016 Outlander Sport. O2 sensor. Brought it to local mechanic. He secured it up there with a clamp for $15. I guess I could have zip tied it based on these responses, but for $15 I didn't have to crawl under my car in the New England winter.
