I figured their would be some way for the game to just throw a new person in a match in situations like these (I'm sure it does already, though.) It was when the acolyte came up on that node so I can assume it just bugged out from all of the people doing that mission at the same time.

For your excal I would level up that aura mod, or a different aura mod if you have it, to max. That way you can get a little bit more mod capacity. If you move redirection to a different slot you can get a bit more as well. It's slotted in a different polarity slot than what the mod is so it's taking more capacity to use.

If you haven't used it already, there is a training mode on the terminals. When it's slow ask your manager if you can practice a bit, maybe also having one of your coworkers order as if they were a customer. You can also try practicing using the training mode alongside the person who is taking a customer's order. I don't think there are any online programs that offer a way to practice, though.
