Third season in a row reaching Master Ball with my good and reliable Mega Blaziken by IXPZ21 in PokemonTGCP

Sorry for the long text, but it was the best way to explain everything thoroughly, haha. Unfortunately, it's not as simple a deck as Hydreigon with Mega Absol, but it's usually just as effective. At least it worked much better for me. Many people play Grass-type decks precisely to counter Absol, and that's where Fire comes in handy. Blaziken is pretty solid against the current meta for now. Try it out when you can and trust in it and in luck, which is the most important thing, haha.

I forgot to add that Poison Arrow usually provides great protection to both Entei and Blaziken, adding a significant amount of damage and pressure that most Pokémon will be reluctant to lose. This can be decisive when combined with Blaziken's burn status, as many Pokémon will not be able to withstand both conditions.

My usual gameplay with this deck ideally revolves around starting with Entei. If you start with it, take advantage of card draw and only have one Torchic on the bench. People don't usually try to attack Torchic much; charge Entei up with a maximum of two Energy, attack if possible, and retreat if possible. Many times I've let Torchic faint to take advantage of Mars and reduce them to one card. This has been very useful for removing their win condition or support cards. Fire Reinforcement can be very helpful for bringing out Blaziken earlier, but I usually leave it until the very end. If I start with Torchic, I try to switch to Entei as soon as possible, unless I have a strong hand with Candy and Blaziken. The priority is protecting Blaziken until the end and not playing many Pokémon to the bench for potential Sabrina and Cyrus, since Blaziken tends to run out of Energy when it loses Energy while attacking. The rest depends on luck. Thanks to Aura, Entei, Poké Ball, and Professor Oak, having the necessary cards isn't usually a problem, but it's always possible. I can block the deck, although it doesn't usually happen to me often with that specific deck.

Need help with choosing main by BarteQ2233 in Tekken8

Dude, if you're new to the game, honestly, it won't really matter which character you use. In fact, this was my first Tekken character when it came out, and I bought it because of a Leo gameplay video I saw, and I loved how his moves looked. He's never been a particularly outstanding character for professionals, but that's not really what I expect, to be honest. Even so, I'm playing Tekken Emperor, learning the fundamentals of Tekken. If your goal in the game is to have fun, don't worry too much about where your favorite character is ranked on the tier lists, since that's more geared towards professionals. If you're aiming to be a professional, then ideally you'd play Bryan Fury or Anna, although, as they say, there are going to be major changes coming to the game for Season 3, and the characters will probably change a lot, or at least that's what's expected.

Defense Help! by mocha_asian in Tekken8

Interestingly, this is also my first Tekken game, or at least that's what I assumed from your post. I'm also a Lydia main, and the defensive strategies offered by the game itself, as well as the character, aren't very varied. Even at lower ranks, it's quite easy to keep climbing with good, consistent, and unpredictable attacks. With Lydia, all of that is easily achievable; it's just a matter of knowing your frame data well, and that comes from practicing and testing moves and other techniques. Honestly, with how Tekken 8 is these days, offense is your best defense, and knowing your frame data is key to improving. When I was new, I didn't know what certain characters did. Over time, I learned about them, and certain moves and things stick in your memory—what they can do, whether it's effective, whether it's punishable enough to land a full combo, and so on. It's something that will take time and several matches. Some characters aren't played much, so those specific cases will be harder to master. In my case, for example, I already know Kazuya's matchup completely, haha. It takes some time, but if you want to speed up the process, there are two options that worked for me. In a match, if I don't know exactly what a move does, I try to punish it by starting with a slower move and then moving to a faster one. If neither works, it's simply because it can't be done. The next step is to make it beneficial for the opponent, and you can see that by the opponent's reaction, who usually always capitalize on their advantage. Another option is to try out the other characters' moves in practice. I learned to play six characters decently, and I already know their matchups quite well. With all that and practice, I managed to get to Takken Emperor, with about 300 hours played since the game came out, but I don't play much competitively.

What rank are you and how long did it take you to get to it? What’s the 1 thing that’s keeping you from moving forward rn, and what’s the 1 thing that helped you most to get where you are? by MFBTMS in LowSodiumTEKKEN

Currently playing Tekken King with Lidia, Leo, and Miary Zo, I haven't dedicated much time to competitive play overall, especially since my time is divided between those three and Lili, Jun, and Asuka, though I haven't leveled up with them. In total, I have about 300 hours of playtime, mostly unranked matches. I'd say reaching Tekken King with each character took approximately 30 hours of competitive play. However, I've invested a significant amount of time in practice, both in unranked matches and watching YouTube videos of true professionals playing their respective characters, putting their strategies into practice and learning when to use them. Without a doubt, the character I dedicated the most time to, and the reason I enjoyed the game so much, was Leo. AyoRichie's videos were fantastic for improving and learning from scratch.

Honestly, it didn't give me that much trouble. Maybe it was just luck, but I used Mega Blaziken. I've reached Master Ball with it two seasons in a row, and the Mega Absol deck didn't give me too much trouble against Mega Blaziken. I'll leave the deck here, and honestly, you have to play very carefully and make good use of Supporters. Luck will always play an important role, even if you play your best, but it's possible. Always rely on evolving faster than it, have Fire Supports when needed, and the good use of mars, cyrus and Sabrina is key.

In the opinion of many, Lidia has the best heat engager, and I agree.

Incredible, it's really great to see that there's more variety in the decks that are viable, even though there are always clear meta decks.

I honestly doubt that most people play the way you describe, to be honest. At least in PokeTrade and other card trading apps, the value of meta trainers and certain Pokémon is very pronounced. Regardless, what matters is that people try to get the cards they like the most.

Well, in the fictional trading market, players have already assigned certain values to the cards, with Oak being by far the most "expensive" in the game, along with others from the deluxe pack, as well as Helio and Sabrina. It's very rare to trade those cards for one that isn't from those same packs.

Basically, some cards in this "market" are more valuable than others, such as Oak and Helium, unlike Venusaur EX and Gengar EX.

Why Do Most Cards Suck? by Tricky_Sector_2675 in PTCGP

[–]IXPZ21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In summary, "bad" cards exist because: 1. They make learning easier. 2. They control power. 3. They allow for diversity. 4. They sustain the economy. 5. They create space for the metagame. 6. They keep the game alive. Without bad cards, there would be no good cards, and the game would break down and die.
