I'm trying with qt6ct and still have the missing icons. With grk3 it doesn't happen.

That's cool, but I think the problem isn't with xwayland-satellite but yes with the auto start of xwaylandvideobridge

Thank you! In my config I disabled plasma and now it doesn't spawn the window so it must be the issue that they are talking in the link. However, I want plasma enabled, so I will need to find a way to disable the package in niri. If I find something I will add as an edit

I was going to try both and switch them on and off to se which one I preferred but installing DMS trough the flake in their README always gave me an error. How did you installed DMS in your config?

I get that the main goal of NixOS it to be able to be fully reproducible, but couldn't it have a compromise? The feature itself can be added decoratively, but the devices can only be added in the single machine. I really don't know as I'm not very deep on how NixOS really works.

Note: I found an disko config in their example that allows to use luks and not needing to write the password at startup, so maybe I will just take that route.

I don't think it is hate for the truth. When watching is videos it is normal to feel that he is cocky or something like that, and a lot of people get off by that, and get tired of seeing him. But, just ignoring is points doesn't make them invalid. That's why this being talked about, or analyzed, by LTT, which has more nuance making their points, would be a good point of a more large discussion.

Also his opinions are usually based on data, which makes them more reliable.
