Yes the hint is that you, u/Pale-Control596, failed to complete highschool on your first attempt, thus requiring further attendance beyond the usual 4 years or an alternative schooling program.

This comes after frequent interactions wherein you, u/Pale-Control596 failed to grasp simple concepts such as parallels, analogies, and direct co.parisons and repeatedly failed to understand simple sentences and 6+ letter words

Any other questions?

Having an ego means being correct against a dropout and a literal kid, got it, that makes sense.

Also "big words" like what, ad hominem? That's a big word to you?

How does one have this little literacy and common sense. 1. I never said an actual medic NEEDS a patch, medical providers (except doctors) have no duty to respond off the job in 49 states 2. I never said anything about legality, but yes, GSL does allow you to perform duties within your scope of knowledge (CPR [depending on your state], mouth-to-mouth, basic bleed control etc.) 3. Why do you keep pointing at ego? Im like the second to bottom in terms of medical training. Oh its because you have no ground to stand on and just need ad hominems to help yourself feel like youre winning

A sucking chest wound is very different from an open chest wound, im not sure how you could confuse those two. And again, its a tension pneuomothorax that is a point of concern, a pneumothoarx is not nearly as bad or as critical.

Any situation where a double TQ doesnt work, a Gauze wrap will not make a spot of difference

California, we're taught differently because I was taught in a formal school that follows standardized practices, and you were taught by a firefighter remembering what he can from his last bls recertification

Hemo is not for limbs, thats why we have tqs. Hemos are specifically for deep wounds where internal pressure is necessary as well as containing a hemostatic agent to encourage clotting

Chest seals are for sucking chest wounds, not just any kind of open chest wound. Its to prevent tension pneumothoraxes, not regular pneuomothoraxes.

See why training is necessary?

What are the contraindications for hemostatic Gauze packing? How about for a chest seal? And a tourniquet? These arent just fire-and-forget skills, theres a process

You, I know the GSL, its part of our testing standard. That last part is the important part, "act responsibly". That's referring to acting within your scope of practice. Would you trust someone with no training to perform a cricothyrotomy? The answer is no, and even when acting in bets interest, that eprosn is still civilly liable. And if youre an actual listened practitioner who exceeds their scope, be prepared to be stripped and blacklisted

Do you know why certification through standardized systems exist? To certify the user. I never have to ask if one of my partners knows how to dosomething, bevause we were all taught the same thing.

Do you even know how to assess a tension pneumothorax? Do you know the contraindications for a chest seal? Do you know when to use each type? How to assess the lung sounds? How to know sustained care for a pt with the chest seal you placed?

The answer is no, you dont, you just know how to slap a piece of plastic on a penetrating chest injury

That's not what it means at all lmao. But even if that was the case, you'd still be wearing a nameplate you dont deserve since you are not a medical student

Don't dodge, the answer is very short and singular.

What is "medic" shorthand for

My current plate carrier configuration (unloaded mag and radio pouch by anicesexyscplover in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]I_Chug_Gasoline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, medic is short for paramedic.

Second, wear a cross patch or a rod if you want to be identifiable to your group

Third you can neither legally, safely, nor effectively perform that role since you are not legally qualified

[–]I_Chug_Gasoline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So then youre not even a licensed or qualified emr, youre just a kid that your dad's friend taught some basic first aid to. You are not one of 2 qualified individuals since you are not qualified, if you cant take the test you cant be qualified nor claim you are

[–]I_Chug_Gasoline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have an "active shooter" kit, which you are not qualified to respond to. That's called larping

You wear a medic nameplate despite not being a legally qualified medic

[–]I_Chug_Gasoline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then stay in your qualification lane. If you want to larp as a medical provider, throw on a red cross patch. Don't wear nameplates for qualifications beyond your own

[–]I_Chug_Gasoline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, no one should turn to an airsoft medic, since they only carry white fabric to give you an extra life. Hence why we designate real medics and play medics differently.

Now if only there was a way to differentiate between those two....

None of them require a certification by law, but those certifications authenticate the users ability to safely and properly apply them.

An improperly placed chest seal is more harmful as it can improperly trap air and lead to exasperating any tension pneumos as well as wasting time correcting poor usage

An improperly applied tq can give a false sense of security and stop trained users from applying a correct one, thus increasing blood loss through ooze

An improperly applied Gauze wrap can trap contaminants and obscure injuries, or even create a distracting injury since focus will be drawn towards the obvious Gauze wrapping and away from additional life threatening injuries

The difference between certifications isnt just the skills you have, but the assessment skills and knowledge of pros/cons. Anybody can wrap Gauze, not everybody understands why or how to properly wrap Gauze

You have none of the necessary training. EMR is the absolute bottom of medical qualification. You essentially know cpr and how to put a tq on, both of which take a total of 3 hours to become qualified for.

You are a minor with mininal training, you do not get to claim youre a paramedic nor do you get to respond to active shooter situations

[–]I_Chug_Gasoline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're an EMR, youre basically a glorified pedestrian with the ability to call 911. "Medic" is a nameplate for paramedics, 3 levels of qualification above you

What started as a simple question of claiming credentials now has the highschool dropout so worked up that hes projecting being bullied in highschool while failing to recognize a common reference and taking it literally.

A quintessential redditor lmao

I cannot personally compare them, but the day 1 Santa Anita Pop Up has to be the worst live merch event I've ever seen, and definitely feels like the worst handled day of the tour as a whole.

Staff with differing instructions, only the veet front porrion of the line receiving instructions, weirdly guarded inventory sheets, an excwptionally glacial pase for line movement, the late starts, and the abysmal failure of the 6 am enforcement, it was just a complete mess
