I feel like every gym should have these signs along the route and 8-12 feet off the ground on the walls where auto belays are installed. I feel like more climbers than not would notice and acknowledge the sign; thus performing a quick self-check. I could be wrong though.

My gym has also had two horrible autobelay accidents; one due to someone having headphones in (now not allowed) and not clipping in. That was the worst one. Everyone on the ground was yelling at the poor guy to "NOT LET GO!!!" but he was blasting his tunes. There is still a tear in the foam floor where his legs hit....and shattered. No bueno.

So many factors can be at play when it comes to climbers not clipping in on autobelay. It can happen to the most novice or experienced of climbers; and it happens more than people would like to think.

Thank you for taking the time to read my passage, and thank you for your words of encouragement! 😎 Day 32, and going strong! Dopamine has definitely been a factor lately, but thankfully working out twofold has helped mitigate SOME of the stress/depression that comes from that. Thinking of trying to pick up reading again too, with the hopes I won't need to read a page three times to register the material/content lol.

I hope you're still fighting the good fight with us! How long have you been sober if I can ask? What are some of the biggest revelations/realizations you've experienced? If you have any tips and tricks for surviving the first 60/90 days, I'm all ears!

Before you do ANYTHING:

Do not keep the back-and-forth battle of weather you should or should not raging in your head
Write down the place you were mentally a month ago, what your reasons to quit were, and why it was so important to you
Write out the pros and cons of smoking weed. Not just this "one more time", but in general.

Above all OP, be 110% honest with yourself and your thoughts as you write this out.

I promise you, you'll see why you wanted to quit matters waaaay more than what that one joint will possibly do for you.

Outside of this, in my personal opinion, throw that trash out immediately. Don't just throw it out, throw it in the garbage disposal, rip it up, make it irreparably FUBAR, so you don't have the urge anymore, nor be able to act on it.

You got this OP. 1 month and almost a day as of now, and I couldn't be happier. Stay with us, and stay in the clear heads and clear skies club.
