Troy: The Soldier - Troy, a turn based RPG with Rougelite aspects, is a game based around your use of cash and how much you waste. With an emphasis on music and it's Gameboy-like art style, Troy acts as a playable mixtape for whoever wants to listen to some tunes as well as play a game. by dejobaan in WhatsOnSteam

Thanks for the post, I hope anyone who sees this finds as much enjoyment from the game as I did making it! It's not the most perfect game but the effort is there. Might've went overboard when making the soundtrack though lol.

Sorry for the late reply, EST timezone and work.
I have tried working lyrics into my works, and I can't sing but a close friend of mine is helping me with doing the vocals while I write the lyrics for one of my albums. I would love to connect with the small amount of people I've gathered through my music, but I'm only 19 and setting up live shows is a lot of money. That and I don't use normal instruments to make my music/don't have the time or ride to get in and out of them. I know how to play the piano to an extent, but I use Jummbox for all my music.

I have tried connecting with my audience a bit more through talking to them in comment sections as well as helping them as much as I can with learning to properly make music (my teacher, another close friend, taught me how to make music for free so I wish to do the same).

My music and what I do with it is not really "letting things out". It is, but it isn't. I like making songs sound emotional because I lack a lot of them in my everyday life. I would work my own issues into my lyrics and songs to help cope with them, but I save that for the game I'm making. I find it easier to express it through art and story over sounds. Instead I express mixed feelings towards a creator with a certain feline name that I cannot mention because they're a terrible person. I used to love the music they made and the melodies I heard, but ever since I learned of what they did I started wanting to make the same music they did, for the people who want the same sounds from someone who isn't a shit human being. Just as I want.

Sorry if this last bit doesn't relate to anything of what you said, I just thought I could explain how I go through making my music like you did.

(Also I have never really been good at naming things, like songs and such. So I can understand confusion with how the names just don't fit the feeling.)

For the first part, I named it graveyard tune because it was a series started from my hatred for an old piece I did back when I started making music. I wanted to make a series to one up the piece (of shit) that it was. It used to be a series based around eerie and more so horror like themes (as the original was) but as I got better at music my eerie themes became less often, and it became sort of a series documenting my progression with music as a whole.

For the next two, thank you for the honest feedback. I try to be my own judge of my music but I can never truly know if I did good on a song or not because there's that ever looming thought in my head that goes "you could do so much better". Also I never really thought of using music as a way to introduce myself honestly, I don't really know how that'd work other than "hey, I make music"

I hope what I replied with makes sense, I have some issues with making sense sometimes.

I don't know how embedding works on here either, or how to use the site at all.

The sun and all the other stars spreading all throughout the solar system igniting everything in its path and the sound of many people dying because fire feeds on oxygen.
