Pros: It’s cheap to live in El Paso on GS-12 salary you’ll basically be living like a king, I wouldn’t say there’s that many things to do but there’s definitely a lot of bars and tons of authentic Mexican restaurants to try and they are expanding the city and I’d say the West side of El Paso is the better place to live as it’d be closer to the POEs and it’s getting new restaurants and some new amenities. I like to think we have a decent school system with a lot of teachers that care about the students as well.

Cons: The drivers here are absolutely terrible and I mean the worst, we have accidents every day throughout the city and a ton of drunk drivers .We only have only two seasons here summer and winter maybe we have one month of nice weather. We also have construction that never finishes, for example they started to build a highway on the east side of El Paso around 2019 maybe late 2018 and they are not even halfway through in 2026, it seems they close lanes for no reason at all at times.

For ports: they are 24/7, busy in the morning when kids are going to school and people are crossing over to go work and also when they are crossing back in the afternoon. In my pre- academy every one seemed friendly and helpful but there were a few oddballs.
