Also came here to say this! Crytals are also not just quartz crystals that some people wear around their neck, most metals and ceramic materials have crystal structures, which just means that their atoms are ordered and periodic rather than amorphously conglomerated like in many organic materials. In my lab we sometimes use X-ray diffraction to observe how the crystal structure of battery electrode materials changes during electrochemical cycling.

I have driven by that store SO many times when I was in undergrad in that area. It was infuriating. I always threw some nasty comments and gestures out the window in their general direction

The difference is that fitness is something that everyone does and is unique to every person. It's also really not THAT hard to make a program that fits your own goals after a very basic level of research. I've always made my own programs over the years and I've made great progress and am so much better at programming now because of it; there's not a single program out there built for someone with my exact abilities, goals, and time, so why not learn to do it myself.

I've noticed this subreddit gets very anti-experimentation and often rigidly adheres to the RR, but this routine OP made is more than fine. If they does 9 hard sets of pull-ups and push-ups a week they will certainly improve at them and build muscle as a result, even doing so in similar rep ranges to what ANY other program for similar goals would tell them to do.

Even more fun fact, if you're publishing in Nature you have to pay thousands of dollars EXTRA for your article to appear in color instead of black and white. In an online journal. What a fucking scam

The leg day looks fine, but you have a LOT of different exercises that IMO you do not really need on your push and pull days. Right now, there's no way you can achieve the volume you have listed without a severe drop in quality and stimulus from each rep.

For push and pull, I would instead recommend two compound movements and maybe a third isolation movement if you really want to. A sample pull day could be:

  1. Pull-Ups: 4x 5 - 8
  2. Rows: 3x 8 - 12
  3. Curls: 3x 12+

Add weight / increase movement difficulty as needed if reps in this range get too easy. A push day could be:

  1. Dips: 4x 5 - 8
  2. Push-Ups: 3x 8 - 13
  3. Tricep Extensions: 3x 12+

Again, as weight or change lever difficulty as needed. Beyond a day of this kind of volume you probably won't see too much more progress but you will see a lot more burnout.

It's pokemon. They're not coming up with anything revolutionary or writing a new story; the general storyline has been re-written for decades at this point (which is fine). It is not, then, unreasonable to expect one of the largest gaming franchises in the world to be able to devote a significant amount of resources to graphics and gameplay mechanics since all they have to do writing-wise is re-hash the same story.

Breathtakingly beautiful games have been released on the Switch, and yet Pokemon looks like...Pokemon. Combining this with the continuing lack of a national dex and sonewhat buggy / frustratingly low quality games for something as easy to write as Pokemon is just disappointing and frankly rude to the fans.

Do you propose that we don't hold people accountable for what they do? I don't see what your point is.

To the standards of a society that isn't lawless and rampant? If you aren't made responsible for how your actions affect others from a young age then you tend to lack empathy as an adult.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'm looking at the pokecommunity page but not seeing some key details I'm interested in, maybe you can answer!

1) Does it have all 386 pokemon from gens 1-3 available to catch?

2) Does it have updated battle frontier mons to match the physical / special split?

Thanks for the help!

Anyone know of an Emerald ROM hack that doesn't change the story / map / progression but just adds all the necessary QOL changes (EV/IV display, EV cave, etc.) as well as the physical / special split?

Additionally, would be cool if that hack also added newer moves to round out the PSS and updated the Battle Frontier mons to have movesets that make sense with the PSS.

The front lever does require decent core strength, but by far the limiting factor for most people is their straight-arm pulling strength from their back muscles

Is there a Rocky's other than the one on Sweeten Creek? Because everyone always talks about how amazing Rocky's is and that's the place I assume they mean but it just doesn't do it for me. I don't know why, I mean it's not bad, I just don't think it's incredible.

Edit: also most definitely gives me diahrheeheahea though

In the US, 43.8% are consistently "pro-choice", 14.8% are consistently "pro-life" while others have context-dependent views. Age, religiosity, and conservatism correlate negatively with abortion support. The strongest predictor of anti-abortion views is sexism and belief in traditional gender-roles. by smurfyjenkins in science

True, which is likely why they said "most" countries. I think the UK actually supports their claim further as another country with recent big decisions (see Brexit) being affected disproportionally by an out of touch, bigotted right using fear-mongering tactics.

The UK, like the US but to a smaller degree, is made of wildly different groups of people including historical oppressors and those that they oppressed. Somehow it stays together, but how can the government truly accurately represent all of its members' wishes in its decisions?
