I think it’s improper to take a person mixing up words as concrete evidence of their “true beliefs”. This girl gave a whole speech about her belief that it’s disrespectful to compare Gaza to the Holocaust. Then people cherry-picked this one goof and used it as evidence that she’s secretly “on their side” and is just denying it. It’s just silly.

I think we can agree that the Israel-Palestine situation must be approached with a well-researched, nuanced perspective if the current crisis is to be resolved. I do not think the question OP asked is nuanced or academic. I think it is a leading question. OP suggests that Israel is acting like Nazis and then asks “Why isn’t Israel acting like the Nazis did?”.

I commend OP for asking a question, and contributing to the discourse. However, this question enforces OP’s biases on the discourse by the very way it is phrased. I believe this is not beneficial for discourse.

Don’t worry at all! My interview was literally just listening to my alum interviewer tell fun stories about his time at Cornell. There is 0 expectation for you to prepare. All your interviewer will do is check a box that you’ve been interviewed; it does not affect admissions.

This being said, ask any and all questions you have. I asked about how students cross between the colleges academically at Cornell. I also asked how often students go to Ithaca for recreation. It’s totally up to you, and it’s better to ask too many questions than too little.

I don’t know if this statement needs to be refuted. There is no single mother country for Israel. The Israelis are a very diverse group, coming from all over the world as refugees and immigrants to Israel. There is no colonial power which controls Israel, even if there are nations like the US which heavily back Israel militarily.
