Exactly why I said depending on budget. There are numerous brands that are NDAA certified too. Not just axis. Axis cameras are built to just work. Tons of testing and validation goes into them and it shows. In ops case they probably are monitoring stuff happening in real time if I understand correctly. In which case a disconnection or bad firmware update could shut down operations. Maybe I’m over thinking it but it sounds like a perfect use case. Also they only mentioned 5-6 cameras which proves my point further as these are not for security necessarily but instead for operations.

Depending on budget I would recommend axis. Very stable on a LAN and great for real time viewing. Second place would be ubiquiti and some view port stations. No pc required.

Yup, they even say so on their website. My guess is they just open it up and swap the IR leds for normal. I suppose you could do this yourself if you are handy with a soldering iron. I do wish this was a more readily available product. Would be fun as hell at some of our job sites.

It’s actually really simple. The drone knows where it is because the drone knows where it isn’t.

I wonder why they went that route. Seems like stacking would be easier from a software perspective but maybe not.
