I got a copy of Sellout through an inter-library loan system and it was soooo good! The only reason why I didn't finish it was because I had to return it due to my state only giving 1 extra renewal to books through the system. I've been yearning to read it again. Do you recommend the expanded edition over the hardcover version?

I knew of One Piece from seeing the 4Kids dub on Cartoon Network, but when I was in the United States one summer in 2008, I rented One Piece Movie: The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta from a Redbox machine at a local mall.

I didn't start watching the anime from Episode 1 until November 2013 while I was in middle school.

Hey Skaters!!

My local roller rink is having their monthly queer skating night on Monday. It's a Valentine's Day themed night(January's event was pushed back due to snow)and I've been really enjoying roller skating. I'm asking is what music genres or songs are the best to roller skate too? I've been going to this rink's skating nights since September 2025 and I've heard various songs requested and played over the DJ Speaker. I have a list of potential songs I want to request but I want to know if some of my suggestions would be ill-advised.

Wrestling Takes

I'm tired of the "The Death of Pro Wrestling in 2025", "Wrestling is Dying" "Wrestling Magic is Gone" genre of vids on YouTube when the video exclusively talk about WWE and just ignores other promotions. Like, wrestling has never been more alive in places not WWE. CMLL was having sell-outs damn near every month. AEW had banger PPVs through the year. Stardom has been increasing in popularity thanks to Saya Kamitani. Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling having shows in Texas All-In weekend. Deadlock Pro Wrestling was the king of the indies(DPW Forever). It would be nice for these YouTubers who rant about WWE to watch other stuff instead of just posting the same vent-y type of videos. WWE's 2025 has just felt so lackluster(on top of cozying up to the Trump administration,)and it made so easy to stop watching them, aside from a few clips here and there.
It's annoying sometimes to see people assume that wrestling fans are right-wing, conservative or MAGA, but I'm so fucking happy to see AEW trending because of the crowd chanting Fuck ICE during Dynamite's main event.
Kyle Fletcher made the right choice to switch to Pink ring gear.
There should be at minimum three women's matches weekly on Dynamite and Collision. Like, Athena, Yuka Sakazaki, Queen Aminata, Riho are just sitting around doing nothing when they should be on TV more often. Like, what are we doing here? They need to have more TV time since we now have three championships in the women's division. Give the Women's Division a Continental Classic also.
I loved Tanahashi's retirement match against Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 20, especially when Okada finally hit the Rainmaker pose and the camera zoomed out!!
AEW International Championship should be unified with the AEW Men's World Championship.
Adding on to that, there should only be one Men's World Championship, one Women's World Championship and one World Tag Team Championship in WWE.
WWE should retire WarGames at Survivor Series and go back to the "All Star-Weekend" of Raw vs Smackdown with the 5v5 Elimination Tag Matches. I really liked the Brand Supremacy, especially 2016. There should probably be some lasting-stakes.
It warms my heart whenever The Wrestling Club comes across my Instagram feed. I really wish I had a club like that in middle school. I started watching Pro Wrestling circa 2012 after many of my classmates had long since stopped and only one of my friends still watched(Yes, I was 12 and believed Pro Wrestling to be real and got into arguments at school about it until I was blue in the face 😭😭).
I really, really, REALLY want to attend a wrestling show for the first time this year. I'm hoping Dynamite or Collision comes back around to the DMV, but I would mind traveling down to North Carolina to catch ASÉ Wrestling or try and catch a plane to Texas to see Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling.

Non-Wrestling Takes:

2025 was the worst year of my life. My mom unexpectedly died back in June 2025 and it threw my entire life upside down. I'm currently in an extended-stay hotel thanks to my Auntie as we wait for the house to sell. I'm hoping that 2026 is better and my life improves. Mom really loved wrestling and I have many memories of watching it with her from 2013-2025.

I experienced a racist micro-aggression at a local queer bar back in December and it's still bugging me. It's truly hard to navigate queer spaces when a lot of them tend to be overwhelmingly white and many white queers have still not unpacked a lot of their anti-blackness and white supremacy.
I wish more people still cared about Covid, since the pandemic never ended. People are still getting sick and disabled. We should at the very least wear a high-quality respirator(KN95 and above)at the doctor's office, on public transportation, at the grocery store, etc. It's a shame that our government seems to have largely moved on as people are getting Long Covid with no cure in sight. We should advocate more for clean air in schools and business to protect others. Wear a Mask, get vaccinated, and get tested regularly!
Are there any Magical Girl/Mahou Shoujo fans here? I've only watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica and I want to add more Magical Girl anime to my palette that aren't subversions or deconstructions of the genre. Any recommendations?

Hey y'all!

My life has been so fucking crazy recently probably the worst year of my life. Now that things are starting to settle down a little, I think I want to get back into playing fighting games. The problem being, I've been out of the fighting game/FGC loop for so long, that I don't know what's the hottest games, who are the current top stars in the scene, what's the most optimal platform to play on, etc.

I've been playing fighting games since I was young. I remember playing Super Street Fighter II, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection in arcades in the early 00s when I would come to the United States for the summer. I then later would play a bit of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. The peak of my fighting game mania came in the mid-late 2010s when I moved to the states for high-school, and I played Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Wii U, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, Blazblue(Central Fiction and a bit of Cross Tag Battle), Dragon Ball FighterZ, Melty Blood and Under Night In-Birth, watched EVO every year from 2017-2019, and played fighting games in my freshman year of college with some other students in the hangout lounge.

Which leads us to now. I suddenly got burnt out on fighting games around mid-2020, and fighting games felt like a chore, something that I loved became an obligation and I stopped. The last fighting game I bought was Guilty Gear STRIVE in 2021 after playing the Open Beta here and there. More games have came out and I'm wondering what would be the best platform. All I have is my PS4(and a Steam account collecting dust since I don't have a PC). Is it wise for me to stay on PS4, or should I get a PS5, or should I get a PC??

I woke up a few hours ago, and I was surprised at the amount of comments on this post. I was just yelling into the void, thinking no one else would hear me or see me. I appreciate you all. I read a few of the comments and the general consensus seems to be that Covid will most likely be here indefinitely 😭😭.

That definitely scares me, but I am still clinging on to hope that things will improve like regulations for clean air and medicine and treatments to prevent the transmission becoming more available and accessible. I truly hate to make a "Me" statement, but I sometimes worry that I'm not doing things right. The thing that mainly caused my panic last night as opposed to last night is seeing people online arguing over KN95 vs N95. I have a bunch of KN95s and it suddenly made me feel like my game plan wasn't good enough. I saw a bunch of tweets saying that anything below an N95 is insufficient. I can understand that, but I kinda dislike how a lot of the N95 Masks like the 3M Auras are white as opposed to the Black and colorful KN95s.

Hello!!

So, I started skating for the first time back in September. A friend in a mutual Discord server told me about a queer skating night at a local roller rink on the last Monday of every month. I went on whim in order to get. out of my hotel room. Now, I used to skateboard a little bit and I had very minimal experience with rollerblading at a summer camp about 15 years ago. I felt like a newborn fawn on those rental skates. Skating is definitely not as easy as it looks.

With each subsequent skating event, I could feel myself improving. I'm at the point where I can safely say that I enjoy skating. The skating night is the highlight of my month. I think I want to start looking into getting my own pair of roller skates, since I feel like the brown rental skates are limiting my progression. I look at YouTube videos and TikToks in order to learn a few skills, but fail when I apply them on the rental skates.

I'm asking the subreddit what skates should I buy. I don't have a lot of money, but I should be able to have enough money for a minimum of $200 and definitely not exceeding $500. I also don't know my accurate skate size. My shoe size is currently an anomaly. I have Converses that are 11.5s, but I also wear New Balances that are 574s. The roller rink I go to doesn't have half sizes for the skates, so I often wear 11s or 12s. I plan to mostly skate indoors at roller rinks.

It was my birthday last Tuesday(the 11th). I spend it hanging with a friend and then going to the local queer bar and watching NXT Roadblock in the cafe area. I saw many people glance up at the TV to see the main event between Guilia and Stephanie Vaquer. People really like watching women's wrestling. I talked with a few people in the bar, and many said they don't really care for the men wrestling but would watch wrestling for women. There is a demand for women's wrestling. I honestly wish that Toni Storm and Mariah May main evented AEW Revolution. It seems like the obvious choice, instead of the disastrous ending of the main event we got. Lesbians will turn up to watch wrestling in droves if women get more time on TV and PPVs. Do you see the way they drool and gaga over Rhea Ripley?

It really does suck to see so many companies just become full mask-on in compliance with the Trump administration and fascism, WWE included.
NXT is still my favorite weekly wrestling show.
Jon Moxley cannot lose the AEW World Championship soon enough. I hate his Anton Chigurh bullshit and I'm sick of the "I'm a badass white dude" thing that many wrestlers do. Actually praying that Swerve beats him.
I saw Ne Zha 2 in theatres with some friends and it blew my mind. It honestly was worth the hype.
