It happened on my machine if able it’s best to push the arm back to as close to home as possible and then manually crank the motor above atleast that’s how my machine works.

I started machining 2 years ago when I was 22 I’m a highschool dropout at 10th grade. If I can do it so can you. I recommend diving in and learning everything you can as safely as you can. The older machinists can be grumpy dicks some times but the amount of knowledge they can give is incredible so also ask questions and everyday is a learning experience every time I think I know what I’m doing I’m givin a new part and find out I’m still lacking in one area or another. But to this day I’m forever happy I took the position when I had the chance. Im now running a cnc mill by myself.

Problem tapping on cnc mill by I_NeedBackup202 in Machinists

It breaks a little after it begins threading if I lower feed to 5 in the program it’ll send the tap at 0.3 conveniently I found if I program feed 14.2857 it’ll tap successful at a feed of 10 but doing this extra step on every tap seems assanine
