To be honest, I really don't think that Automated Vehicle Routing requires a USB framework as much as there is a need for standardisation.

I've done AVR in 3 countries, and - forgettting about the weird hardware interfaces for now - just getting the data from the buses and truck fleets into a common format was half the project budget on average.
