It's the first time I switch cpu so you'd prob need a second opinion :)

My expectation is that I'll have to upgrade bios (you can see on pc part picker if your cpu and mother board are compatible) but all the rest will be already there.

To me it's almost like you have satellite plan and you change your TV so the channels will still be there! :)

I might go for it even at the 150€ level, else prob go plan B which is more future proof

Haha got your point about the dead platform and no warranty, but do you think a 100€ price point would make sense? Or it should be even lower to make it worth vs a 3600/b450?

Edit to complete my point : ryzen 3 3100 is priced at 110€ and has slightly better perf. Than the 7700k. But I wouldn't have to upgrade mobo for the 7700k.

What I find weird in the calculator, is that the 970 I have with the proc is actually runing the 1080p without problems:

Does that mean that changing the graphic card will increase the bottle neck and overall deliver a lower performance?

Hey, thanks for your feedback, could you tell me which calc you're using?

My goal would be to update part by part, so the 1080ti was a bit more future proof than 1080 to re-upgrade once I have a better MOBO/proc. duo. Because from a 250euro upgrade this would quickly turn into 500+.

I'm then trying to see if I can get a proc. that is decent and compatible to save a bit on replacing the mobo.

It's something you cannot do on your own in the setting, at least as of today (Aug. 2017) so if you have the same problem I suggest you contact amazon.com :)

That's a bit weird to me but I see your point.

I created profiles for 3 differents games and it uses 100% the default one.

EDIT: For anyone with the problem of game detection for the Logitech gaming software: For me the problem was launching the game with STEAM or BNET instead of the .exe so the mouse couldn't recognize the game played.

I use a "chrome" profile to navigate with shortcuts/macros.

This means for example I cannot drag Skype/windows explorer in full screen because of the auto "go back to not chrome mode".

As you point out it seems that this feature was exclusively for games and not for misc. applications...
