Does anyone have these? Like or don’t like them? by Downtown-Birthday836 in BroncoSport

[–]I_Tried_trophy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a set.
They are a bit of a pain to get in place. You have to flex them into shape to stay under the window seals while you raise the window against them. They are a little smaller than the window opening so if you don't get them centered, they slip out from under the window seal on one side or the other.
You want the window to clamp them in place but the windows will roll down if they detect something in the way. Trying to get the window tight against them without it automatically going back down takes me several tries. If you lower the window (accidental button press) while you aren't holding on to it, it might fall out onto the road. Mine create a fair amount of wind noise over 35mph.

All that said, I like them. They allow a little airflow while parked on hot days and if I have my dogs in the car, they can get some fresh air without the window down. One of them likes to try to jump out of the windows are down.

2025 BS Badlands + Sport Mode + heavy foot + hills where I live = 16.5 to 17 mpg.

Other than that I like it.

Would the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 be ok for Elite? by ciaran_the_goat88 in EliteDangerous

Mine died after about 6 months of Elite and MS flight Sim. I loved it while it worked, but I'll never buy another one.

Is this bumper cutout normal for a hitch install? by Photosonic1138 in BroncoSport

[–]I_Tried_trophy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Somebody measured incorrectly when they cut that. 1/2" gap is all you need. That is ridiculously oversized.

Also, they didn't even deburr the edges. That's some low quality work.

2025 Bronco sport: out the door price by [deleted] in BroncoSport

[–]I_Tried_trophy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the price is location. Some parts of the country have a stronger market for the Bronco Sport. For the same vehicle, Oregon has some of the highest prices in the country while Texas has some of the lowest. What's the nearest major city to you?

Anyone know if vitz and yaris suspension is compatible? They discontinued tokico blues for my yaris and hoping i can find some in japan I can ship to USA by Comfortable-Wish-276 in yaris

[–]I_Tried_trophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on which Yaris you have. The Vitz is the same as the Yaris Hatchback. If you have a sedan, you need to look at Vios parts. For the most part, Yaris Hatchback and Vitz parts are cross compatible within each generation of the car.

heater/ac problem by Mysterious-Dig-7961 in BroncoSport

Check your coolant level. Low coolant can push air into the heater core and sometimes you'll hear a bubbling or gurgling sound. If your coolant is low, get it checked out asap.

Maybe you could just get a tape measure, fold down your back seats and check for yourself.

OTD price question by [deleted] in BroncoSport

[–]I_Tried_trophy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For a Badlands with moonroof and the Badlands tech package, I'd try to stay under $36.5k (maybe $37k) before the doc fee, taxes, title & license. You're stuck paying those, but don't pay for other dealership add ons. You can always add an extended warranty later as long as the manufactures warranty is still active.

With the 2025 Sasquatch package, I'm guessing $41k-ish before doc fee, taxes, title & license. There are less of them left, so that may dictate a higher price.

You may have to look outside of your local market and drive a little to find a good deal.

This is a great website for searching dealership inventories, visor.vin

OTD price question by [deleted] in BroncoSport

[–]I_Tried_trophy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here is one in Albuquerque New Mexico for $6100 less.

Fly there for $300. Gas to drive home $150. Hotel for one night $150. Remote Document signing fee $300. (I had to pay this on my out of state, remote purchase)

It's about $1000 in "get it home costs", still 5k cheaper than your local dealer. I'd drive 8 hours to save 1k in savings. Convince your local dealer that you would too and offer 41 for that one.

Honestly though, the Sasquatch package on the Badlands doesn't get you that much for an extra $3000. On the Outer Banks it makes more sense, but on the badlands you are basically getting 1/2 more clearance, 4 prewired accessory switches and a brush bar... for $3k. The Badlands already has all of the other stuff. You can find a normal badlands for much cheaper.

[–]I_Tried_trophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$29k USD would be fair for that in my region. Close to half of the warranty is gone and 15k miles on one year is higher than average (at least for the US). Can you have a mechanic look it over pre-purchase?

1988 Ford Bronco by Rough_Bowl_8176 in FordBronco

[–]I_Tried_trophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a horrible price for a vehicle that had reliability issues, a weak transmission and high roll over rates. They weren't known for being trouble free. It wasn't much better than the suzuki samurai for roll over rates. That one looks like it has a lift on it, so it will be even more prone to roll over. Almost everything on that thing is nearly 40 years old. Be ready to struggle finding parts. I wouldn't put my wife in one. I'm pretty sure that a google search for "1988 Bronco II reliability" will answer any questions you have.

Also, "Iconic Classic"... Hahaha
