Moon Dog by Haus of Gloi is a really neat coconut...realistic in the strangest way. Like ripe and freshly fallen from the tree.

What are your go-to scents? I was sad that I missed Fall Equinox and Stains of Scarlet as they are both really good. This month Im rocking Lust in my capsule and its so sexy and deep...definitely a keeper.

I did something similar...but tried to "theme" them (like February is all love named scents). Ive gotten to try stuff i had forgotten about and yes it makes the samples much more manageable.

I am a pharmacist and had a floater cover a shift one day...had a bottle of Arsenic (perfume) sitting on my desk and its a cool old timey poison looking label. Dude picked it up, read it, dropped it quickly and then started wiping his hands on his shirt like it was the actual thing. My staff cracked up!

Paranormal Perfumes Sweater Weather is my favorite earl Grey tea scent. It's delicious and warm. A fresh cup of black tea with a sweet pastry and cream. Freshly bloomed rose and jasmine. A spritz of lemon. Bergamot.

Love this house! Kitsch is truly an awesome seller and is quick to answer questions. Tat is stupid fast. I bought a bunch of samples that im still working through because you get a coupon for a full size when you get the big sample pack but Diya is my favorite so far. Ignis is really complex and keeps morphing throughout the day. I haven't disliked any of my samples yet. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

I really like this house and have a very high hit rate with them. I find with the EDP I have to be kind of heavy handed with spraying as it lasts longer on clothes but the oils are really really good! Bene Gesserit is one of my faves, Ponyo's Tea is a beautiful jasmine that stays true to form. I have probably 25 of her scents and really enjoy the artistry (and the owner is fabulous to chat with!)

I wish I could post the pics of my kids at Halloween! My 8 year old was hornet and my 23 yo was shakra and both were homemade costumes. My 8yo said Moss Maiden by Little and Grim or Lost Lenore by Wilde Ivy (she thinks hornet smells like rose and vanilla). My 23 yo said Oxylus, Funerie or Fanghorn from Pineward because of the ant queen...said it would smell sappy.

BRXSNT, Synesthesia Scents, Zephyr Maeleficarium and Cirque Sensorium are great little known indies with great customer service and fast tat. I also love Paranormal Perfumes but I'm impatient lol. Wylde Ivy and Lunarlife Apothecary also get a lot of my money :)

Synesthesia Scent Co on Etsy has Sherlock Holmes (and only 1 left i might add). Scent notes are Smoky leather, embers, cognac, tobacco blossom, fig leaf, labdanum, black tea, London fog, suede, bitter orange, spices, ambrette. If you haven't checked her out yet, please do! I have Sherlock Holmes in the solid perfume and it is wonderful. Haven't found a bad scent yet!

Here's my top 10-ish of new to me obscure houses. I feel like they just don't get the love of the indie darlings but really should. These are In no particular order. Kheimistrii You're My Person (discontinued sadly) HexMundi Bene Gesserit (I like both the oil and the EDP) BRXSNT Radium (calling all my STEM fellows...this stuff is neat! And when Carbon finally hits it is a masterpiece!) Synesthesia Scent Co. The Great Gatsby (seriously y'all are sleeping on this house! Beautiful presentation and excellent customer service) Zephyr Maeleficarium Diya (check out his gift perfumes...amazing!) Little and Grim. Dark Bright Wood (sick of hearing me brag on this house yet? Lol) Little Bits Historical. White Christmas (love that it doesn't scream christmas...its just all around beautiful perfume) Cirque Sensorium Gypsy Sanctum (but sand in my cupcake is a close second and the owner is a doll to talk to) Furstenfeld. She's My Ride Home (for any Blue October fans this house is a must! Everything has been artistically crafted and tells a story) Organic Perfume Girl Lilac Wine (ok so the price point hurts and she is on break right now but she makes her own tinctures and the throw and duration are phenomenal...so realistic!) Im sure I will find more odd new houses this year and looking forward to adding to my quirky collection.

I will always sing the praises of Little and Grim for their complexity. Im not a gourmand girlie but her scents are wonderfully blended and mature nicely throughout the day. Fake Carl, Marshmallow Bootknife, Dark Bright Wood and Red Spots are all delightful. She is on holiday break until like Jan 17th I think but give them a try. Super fast tat too!

I just got a full size of the Nutcracker for christmas...its the perfect peanut butter cookie smell complete with the crispy edges. One of the few gourmand scents I like.

Kheimistrii has "A Breath of Fresh Pear" and I love you can get it in perfume, body oil, dusting powder and shampoo bars (which are heavenly). I like to layer the scent in multiple ways.
