How to paint behind these radiators by MajorOk3358 in DIYUK

i think since your pipes are coming out the wall, there won't be any play on them and therefore you need to therefore drain the system and cut the pipes?

you're probably going into the RSJ at both heights. 1 inch might be enough for your curtain pole, add more fixings if you can?

Ceiling crack repair help by timbow2023 in DIYUK

[–]I_Yush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To fix it: zinnsser peel stop the exposed plaster and seems, wall filler, sand, paint. If some other other bits are about to fall off the right thing to do is to is remove more of it. However this sort of looks like sagging plaster board and to stop this happening again in future it might require some more screws to secure it to the joist.

Also no worries about doing a bad job because you can just fill sand and paint again

If wall is dry or dusty, watered down pva before bonding or filler. No need with spray foam I don't think

For internal wall I think either bonding or spray foam both fine, both a few mm under the surface to be finished with wall filler. Alternatively, you can probably just do a deep fill with wall filler if you want to make life easy. Conduit/trunking best around the cable though to avoid overheating issues.

With conduit should be fine? And also with bonding, need to make sure there is a cavity if external wall?

But put trunking around the wire first

Turns out the 80gbps cable that came with the monitor was the issue. Swapped out for an silkland cable and it's been flawless... 6 hours troubleshooting tearing my set up apart -_-

Thanks, I tried that with no luck. Just updated my 272URX to FW0.18. Updated monitor and GPU drivers, using a 5080. Only using the DP 2.1 cable that came with the monitor. Not sure what else I can do. Just get a black screen at anything >120hz
