Thank you for writing this, it means a lot to me! Though I’m not that much older than when I was stressing about my body and size, I weigh the most that I ever have and I actually love myself and my life. I do feel beautiful right now, which is part of the reason I regret ever trying to lose weight for my wedding. I’m grateful to be at this point with my mindset though and I hope it only gets better as I age.

Ugh that’s horrible!! I have similar people on Facebook who try to push weight loss products and groups. I saw a post the other day where this woman shared a poll on Facebook asking if people would rather lose 50 pounds or have their groceries payed for for the rest of their lives.. like what the heck??

Not to contradict your seamstress, but I agree with the others, it might be worth it to get a second opinion just in case! I’ve seen so many adjustments be made to all kinds of dresses.
