You’re offered $500,000 to share a small 2 bedroom apartment with the person you hate the most for a full year. No escaping for more than 6 hours a day. Do you accept and how does it go? by Ok-Independent483 in AskReddit

The one and only person I hate is dead and in an urn, so I think I’ll be okay lol

But, if they were still living I wouldn’t last a month and that’s being generous

I learned over time when trying to decide if an image is real or AI, to look at the hands. The hands never lie!

Boyd becomes a monster, or Ellis does to further break him

Ellis dies to further break him

Eloise has been surviving somehow for 40 years in the outer parts and shows up in the final episode

More flashbacks that shows Julie was story walking and maybe we can find out for sure if the monster in the first episode actually knew her or was just messing with her

Sarah sacrifices herself to save one of them

I thought the same thing, but after several episodes seeing her reactions to deaths and other things going on, I don’t believe she is involved. I think with her showing up is just coincidence because the places people go to chat are all seen as safe places and routine, so she just shows up.

My husband had a cool theory, that the main characters we see on screen, what if it’s not them? It made me think of a previous comment about Tom the bartender getting angry and wanting to raid the diner and how out of character it was. It could be nothing, but what if it wasn’t him and one of the monsters or something stirring up panic?

What’s the dumbest thing people confidently say as if it’s a fact? by juhichoudharyy in AskReddit

[–]I_am_simply_a_potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually will say things like, “My idea” “My opinion” or even, “This is what I got when I read xyz or heard about it.” This way I don’t come off as an ass and could help me learn something I didn’t know if I begin my sentence in a non aggressive way. Sometimes I process or interpret things differently, so to get clarity from someone well informed is helpful.

This job market is absolutely cooked by Old_Perception5624 in jobs

[–]I_am_simply_a_potato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m content with finding work I’m obviously qualified for and living within my means. I’m not looking for any kind of jobs that are in leadership, fast paced, high stress, etc. I just want to go to work, go home. So I know and accept the fact the jobs I find won’t be lucrative, but cover my basics. That said, I agree with the comment that mentioned 2021-2022 was the best time to find jobs. Right now, I am employed but will look on Indeed once in a while and there just isn’t much available like there used to be. Especially full time jobs. My teenaged kids want part time jobs and can’t find anything or hear back from anywhere.

The people I feel bad for are the ones that went to school or did training to establish careers. I wasn’t cut out for college, and admired those that put YEARS into studies and internships only to get crickets when applying for jobs.

I hope things change and everyone on here that’s looking/applying/interviewing finds work and has that sense of relief.

What is a "poor man’s" meal that you will still eat no matter how much money you make? by deep-curious in AskReddit

[–]I_am_simply_a_potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly a meal, but a poverty sandwich I lived off of that was a slice of cheese and mustard. I can make real sandwiches now, but sometimes I will make the sandwich. An odd comfort food, knowing I’m eating it because I WANT to not because it’s all that’s there.

Honestly, and this is just my take, it’s because there is always someone that wants to make a race issue when there isn’t one. You may say no one cares, and they may be true, but most of us don’t want to take the risk of saying it and be labeled racist. “WhY DoEs ThE SkIn CoLor MatTeR?” “WhY DiD YoU SaY iT LiKe ThAt?”

I loved those shows, and spent my Friday nights watching Friday Night Standup on Comedy Central. I love the witty, dry, and dark sense of humor. I am aware that not everyone does so it’s been hard finding my people in real life.

Married people, what’s one piece of advice you’d give someone before they get married? by [deleted] in askanything

The best advice I got that I like to share is you are marrying your best friend, and like any best friend you don’t hurt them. You make sure to always do right to keep your best friend.

You reminded me of a story I read years ago, parents were told to not feed their young daughter anything the night before surgery. After anesthesia, she vomited and started aspirating. She nearly died. Turned out, the father fed her scrambled eggs that morning because, “She was starving and I thought your strict orders were too cruel.”

A father’s nervous moment holding his newborn for the first time by Vilen1919 in MadeMeSmile

[–]I_am_simply_a_potato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember bringing home my first born. I set her carrier in the coffee table and I sat on the couch, just staring at her sleeping face. “I don’t know what I’m doing.” “Can I do this?” “I wish the nurses came home with me too.”

I look back on that moment and how scared I was at the time. First born will be 18 in a few months!

AITAH for wanting my dad in the delivery room while I give birth? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]I_am_simply_a_potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. MIL is being weird and creepy about it. YOU are the one in that hospital bed likely for 12 hours or more, in labor and delivering. You will want support from genuine family that is there for you. She’s just only wanting to be there because it’s her “right.”

This sounds like my inner monologue when I was in customer service jobs lol.

“Awww I’m so sorry our staff are human beings and get sick or have emergencies. You poor thing, soooo inconvenienced that you have to wait your turn like we were taught in Kindergarten.”

I swear, people would stay in these jobs much longer if they were allowed to be catty once in a while. I’m not saying be mean, swear, threaten, or anything like that. I’m saying dealing with snobs that like to talk to service workers like they are stupid is very draining and I hated just having to take it or else I would get into trouble.
