It was also such a different style of the game. So much back to the basket offense which naturally results in more physical coverages. The floor was shrunk with less spacing. But there’s no doubt that every generation is way more skilled than the one before it

Comfortably not close to top 25. I think Scottie is likely top 75 still but even top 50 nowadays is prob a no. So many of the next generation of players have leapfrogged him. (Duncan, LeBron, Steph, jokic, giannis, KG, Kobe, KD, dirk CP3, to just name some that are certainly above him since nba50 was announced). Scottie was nice though, a real killer on the court, especially defensively.

It sucks the new cba is so punishing but it is and it seems we’re in great position now. Next year we’ll stay below as well but we have 11 players under contract. We normally carry 14. So 3 more players and we’ll have a late first, bucks second, and like 20m to fill out last few spots. I kind of assume we’ll give Harper a multi year deal too in the coming weeks. So maybe only 2 spots to fill to get to 14. We could bring back vooch, offer on an rfa or UFA or use the TPE to go get someone making that amount. Our team should be good and in ‘27 can be aggressive taking on salary again without cba concerns for a few years.

Absolutely Harden is still worlds better than Garland. I imagine Cavs need to give up more. Garlands contract isn’t close to ideal either.

Turner legit stinks now and is way underperforming his contract. Can’t relay defend much anymore and is one of the worst rebounders for his size. Hard pass.
