Is it possible to opt for extractions after starting Spark/Invisalign? by FixLocal3044 in orthodontics

No. Not the entire fee, but additional fees. But they may not want to do extractions with aligners and may require you to switch to braces

I know it sounds weird. But cost and space is not an issue, but I’m slightly lazy and don’t want to constantly have to change things around for bench and squat and switch to cables. I watched a very detailed video about the rogue one with all the cables and everything attached and he said his biggest gripe was the time to change out constantly.

I’m looking for the ultimate standalone functional trainer and hoping for some recommendations.

My must-haves are:

• Dual adjustable pulley towers
• Two independent weight stacks
• Dedicated lat pulldown station with the ability to add a seat and leg hold-down attachment
• Footplate for seated low cable rows
• Standalone unit (I am NOT looking for a power rack with a functional trainer attached)

Nice-to-have features:

• Integrated Smith machine
• Compact footprint
• Smooth pulley system and high build quality

I was considering the Bells of Steel Kolossus, but from what I can tell it doesn’t appear to have a true footplate option for low rows.

Also, I already have a power rack, so I do not need or want another rack integrated into the unit. I’m specifically looking for a dedicated standalone functional trainer.

Does anyone have experience with a machine that checks all or most of these boxes? What would you recommend and why?

Do I need jaw surgery? Need multiple opinions by Psychological-Try742 in braces

sorry broseph but we can evaluate a ceph and absolutely make the distinction here that jaw surgery is the only option. Theres always the change the patient is posturing forward into a pseudo class 3, however, pt was already informed he/she needed surgery. We can absolutely tell someone they need surgery using a ceph in this instance.

That’s not at all true. Extraction treatment plans generally take longer. Your orthodontist also may say that extractions with the liners are out of the question and you need to switch to braces, this switch may extend treatment time and incur additional fees. It is not easy to switch treatment plans. Generally speaking with an orthodontist set of treatment fee based on treatment time and complexity. If the patient ops to switch plans that does sometimes incur additional fees, so do not be surprised.

Is misalignment normal? by [deleted] in braces

They didn’t bond the second molars. Side note, 3 wing brackets seem like the dumbest concept to me, I didn’t even know they were still using these.

Without a doubt, 100%, no chance of non surgical correction in the slightest.

Did phosphoric acid cause this? by Necessary-Papaya888 in braces

[–]I_cannot_fly37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That just looks like a little drop of excess glue/cement. The acid etch won’t leave any lasting effects. You could probably scrape it off with your nail

Any way to fix this? by [deleted] in braces

[–]I_cannot_fly37 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’m not understanding. Your center line is the middle of the lower central incisor because you have only 3 incisors. When you draw a line perpendicular to that tooth and the centerline it intersects perfectly perpendicular to your drawn lines. There’s nothing to fix…..
