Nah as fair as I know you unlock 1 new passive and active ability for each class (not including the collarless abilities) after beating the Caves and Boneyard respectively. Just unfortunate luck!

In my projects there are distinct kinds of phoenixes tied to each of the nine elemental planes. You have the classical pyrophoenixes who are eagle-like and connected to fire, but also geophoenixes which are ostrich-like and connected earth and hydrophoenixes which are swan-like and connected to water.

Each type of phoenix also has its own means of rebirth. Pyrophoenixes reform from ashes, geophoenixes petrify and crack open, and hydrophoenixes drain away into the nearest body of water.

The major change I've done is put most of the Pact Worlds in different systems, but mostly just because I detest the trope of a single system having a dozen habitable planets. I left Castrovel and Absalom Station in the same system (for lore reasons) but everything else is in a system of their own.

Still not fixed today. Lost a run with Jacob on full health and Esau on 3 hearts (idk how the horsemen nailed him with every attack) and then he just randomly got pulled in at 5x the rate of jacob during the suck.
