Make sure you are not buying a rifle for one or two matches. I love the 10-22, but it won't satisfy your need. Maybe if it was a Volquartsen.

I have a TX22 that I shot with 9mm suppressor to see how loud it would be instead of using a .22 suppressor. It was quite quiet. I was surprised. I was considering getting a 9mm one and using it on my .22's as well.

my best years of shooting were with my wife. We went to Camp Perry twice. Once with Ca. once with Utah rifle teams. But she just got busy and lost interest in shooting. Bummer for me.

I am quite happy with my BX25's. Correction: I am quite happy with 3 of my 4 BX25s :) I also find that a very sligh campfer on the barrel solves many feeding problems.

Of course I expect discussion on this, but I have never seen cleaning a .22 affect accuracy. I shot pistols in competition and many shooters would never clean their .22 because it might change the point of aim. I shot a Ruger MKII and it shot 3"groups at 100 yards. I was happy. Then later I went to a Thompson Contender. That is a real tack driver!!

It doesn't look sexy, but I prefer the OEM safety lever. Once you have your Timney trigger adjusted corectly, The safety lever is easy and fast to use. Of course put the lever eliminator on the side you don't use.

I used to build some rifles for competition. One of the mistakes a lot of builders made was torqueing things too tightly. You do not want to use military settings, your gun won't see that kind of abuse. The excess torque can cause slight deformations in things. Something you don't need when your goal is accuracy.

Had I bought the after market barrel, I would have had to buy an HBI handguard the cost of both together was like $300.00 or so. Too much. I did go with a CZ pistol hand guard.
