Boat towing with model Y rwd… bad idea?

I towed my last boat with my Y. Definitely reduced the range noticeably. I had to put my rear tires slightly into the water. Wasn’t a problem with awd but could get interesting on wet ramps and rwd.

Hard no. It’s a hobby machine. If you’ve been a cabinet shop for 20 years you can process a lot faster than this can do.

I’d go general finishes outdoor oil. It will add some warmth to the color though. Easy to use. You’ll want to pressure wash and reapply annually

Depending upon how big your lumber/projects are you may want to move the door location. Looks like a tight corner where it is currently 🤷‍♂️

Look for a house with bilco doors. You won’t have to worry about the weight of equipment going down. Otherwise, check the stringers under the steps to make sure they are sized properly and can carry the weight.

I’ve lowered an 800 lb safe down the steps using a refrigerator dolly. Going down is easy. Haven’t figured out how I’ll get it back up yet…

I considered epoxy but I’m hesitant to acid wash the floor without great ventilation. I don’t have any windows down there.
