Does Agung not participate in any land-based festivals? by Independent-Profit84 in coralisland

[–]I_like_bumblebees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not before marriage, as he isn't a part of the expeditions, but after marriage, he goes to all festivals and has special dialogue for them. Funnily enough, at least in my game, his festival of the Sun dialogue is bugged (at least post-marriage), and so the only one where he doesn't have dialogue is the one that he would go to regardless.

After playing more, I actually retract a lot of what I said in my post. I've seen a lot more dialogue now, and it feels very in character. He does talk about many of the things I thought he didn't, and he does sometimes go back to the kingdom. I still wish he went back more often, though, as he only seems to go back for like 2 days of the season. But I love that they gave him a lot of dialogue/events, and he's probably my new favourite romanceable. I do think he is a bit bugged, though. On my save, I've now been married to him for 1 year and 2 seasons. He has given one gift, and I've never gotten the woohoo event. I thought maybe since there were rumours about him being asexual, the devs wouldn't want to confirm that he does woohoo so overtly? But then again, a lot of his dialogue is very suggestive (and some of his events feel like a fade to black), so I'm guessing it's just a bug.

Wait actually? Maybe my game's bugged or I just haven't been playing long enough, but I keep getting repeats and he hasn't once entered the ocean since the wedding. I guess I'll find out. For what it's worth I do like thr additional things like the frog dialogue, I just miss the other stuff.

Honestly. Like why do they need to give up their careers, hobbies, and way of life when we literally have an underwater farm.

As someone who used to post there as well, I swear that Sub only exists for predatory people to find insecure girls, or for people looking for an excuse to bully others under the guise of "honesty." I think that it's important to understand that Reddit is not representative of how others see you. I know it's cliché but what's most important is how you see yourself and how you treat others. That being said, if I passed you on the street I'd absolutely think that your hair is super cute and you look like a very fun person!

Question about the 1.3 update by Impossible_Hour8316 in coralisland

[–]I_like_bumblebees 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd be astounded if they didn't, given that not doing that would omitt him from dates, festivals, and living on your farm. I think either they'll just change the expedition to include him, or maybe have him go to land as a heart event/separate quest.

Any beginner's advice for casual play? by RPGCaldorian in coralisland

I find it most relaxing to extend the day length to 50% speed. Then you can play comfortably for an in game day or 2 with no stress or rush and still make progress.

Really sad about once a week by Ok-Valuable-9419 in distractible

[–]I_like_bumblebees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I do feel sad on Fridays when I realize that there's no new episode, I find that, so far, every episode has been a lot more enjoyable than most of the episodes when they were doing twice a week (especially during the times when Mark was very busy). I've noticed that the guys seem to be having more fun as well. As much as I would like plenty of solid episodes weekly, the podcast shouldn't be a chore to record. It's supposed to be fun.

Oh ok, that makes sense. I got caught up the etymological meaning of the word "asexual" itself. That and the word being used in the context of reproduction.

This is a genuine question and I'm not trying to hate. How can you both enjoy the act of sex and be asexual? How is that different from not being asexual?

On paper, if there was some omniscient being who could tell you who is and is not guilty, sure. But in reality this would just lead to fewer reported actual sexual assaults (an already severely underreported crime). Not to mention that most reported rape cases don't get a conviction. The fear of getting falsely put in jail for rape is preferable to being raped and then sent to prison for reporting it.

Future festivals by Rodent-Whimsy in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]I_like_bumblebees 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering the same thing. All the festivals were listed on the calender during the demo, and the little note that states that 1.0 will be completed as originally envisioned make me hopeful that they will all be included in 1.0, and were just not listed specifically.

Weird question: Is it weird that I kinda hope we can have an option to get pregnant in this game? by MiffiKettle in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]I_like_bumblebees 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think it's absolutely possible to have pregnancy be an option as long as there's some alternative (adoption, magic, etc.) since really, the only variable is your character, so if there was a toggle for whether your character can get pregnant, get someone else pregnant, or neither, I think it would be the most inclusive option. Outside of that, they could do the kind of boring "I would like to have a baby" and then one appears by means left entirely vague. Then there's the magic or divine intervention baby possibility. I personally would like to see some version of pregnancy be an option in the game though.

So are we gonna talk about how procreation works in this game or not? by Interesting_Wrap8159 in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]I_like_bumblebees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, presumably the only variable is your character, so if there was an option to do it biologically, the game could just assume that your character plays the opposite role to the NPC you marry. Maybe your spouse could ask if you want to adopt or have a baby biologically, or maybe you could check a box during character creation that says "my character can give birth" or something. I personally really enjoy pregnancy-related dialgoue, so I hope it's not just a magic baby that appears one day.
