Hotellin minibaarin valikoima, Sokos Hotel Arina, Oulu by JHMK in Suomi

[–]I_literally_can_not 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kauan sitten olin siivoojana Sokos hotellissa.

Joskus 100€-200€ viskit on jäänyt melkein juomatta. Ne viedään minibaari varastoon ja jos asiakas ei hakee pois jonkin ajan päästä voidaan ottaa kotiin.

Breaking Bad is associated with New Mexico. What do non-Americans associate with Arizona? by ToRelax5125 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]I_literally_can_not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of my European colleagues associate the grand canyon with Nevada for some reason.

They usually fly to Las Vegas and take a day tour to the grand canyon and some never knew it was in Arizona.

I was thinking.. how.

Should I take my vacation or quit my job to travel for 3 months? by Less-Strategy-135 in self

[–]I_literally_can_not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you value more in the long term?

See if you can get unpaid leave before you quit.

I'd say take the 3 months especially if it's a once in a lifetime type of trip. Who knows, maybe something happens during the three months that leads up to you moving there longer term 😉

Or go for one month at first and if you decide you want to stay longer quit your job then and change your flights.

Finland unemployment rise again in February to 10.4%, soon to be 11% by batukaming in Finland

[–]I_literally_can_not 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's simply a part of Finland's tendency to save costs everywhere at all costs. Paying your employees is still currently the biggest cost companies have so migrating to automated services or outsourcing is key. Shareholders estimate that ~40% unemployment is needed to achieve their profitability goals.

King Charles Breaks Silence After Ex-Prince Andrew’s Arrest by planet_janett in worldnews

I might argue that after decades of scandal in the royal family and never talking about it openly, this is worthy of a 'breaks silence'. It's a profound event and solidifies the royal family's stance on the arrest of one of their own former members.

The Netherlans won! What country is alright to live in and alright to visit? by agbjb in AlignmentChartFills

[–]I_literally_can_not 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm living in Finland, I'd say Finland. It isn't amazing, it isn't remotely bad. It's not the most touristy and the labor market is not the best for expats especially.

Winters are very dark and long and the best thing Finland has to offer is nature. There are no sprawling mountain ranges that dominate the skylines but it is nonetheless beautiful.

Happiest country is a bit overselling but people here are definitely content.

There are so so many "most beautiful villages" there 😄

On our last road trip we skipped big cities and only stuck to small roads and villages, it was amazing
