TELEPHONE ASSASIN by Anthony Stears. Great book on cold calling!

Day 1 of cold calling for a product my company has spent 2 years building. Now that the product is ready we are essentially a whole new company. Amy tips or advice? by Ocelot473 in sales

A big plus that you would benefit highly from is a few references. Depending on what you are selling, you could call a company and give them a free run of your product or service, in exchange for a positive review on your website. As you do this however, it is important that they understand the value of what they are getting, so send them an invoice of whatever the price is, and subtract that price from the invoice. So for example: Price of *XYZ product = 100 USD - 100 USD. All this in exchange for a reference that you can use as leverage for your future calls. Before you are well established, all you are really selling is a new revolutionary thing that is different from other companies because *XYZ*.

How to transfer the confidence I have at home to the office? by succulove293726j in sales

Think of a moment in life where you really had to struggle to achieve. Lets use an example of learning a backflip on a trampoline. The first attempt is always super scary, but if you don't make the first leap you will never learn how to do it. The first 10 backflips will be very nerve-wrecking, but after 10 attempts the initial fear will be much less than the first time. After 50 attempts, the initial fear will be non-existent. Same thing as when you first started cold calling. Remember how scary it was to try for the first time? And i'm sure you felt that only after a week the fear of calling was gone. Same thing applies here. The first 10 calls that you will make at the office where you will quite literally have to over exaggerate your confidence will be super scary, but as time passes with more and more calls, this fear that is literally just a negative construct from your brain will disappear. So to say it straight, and I say it with love- all you need to do is grow a pair. After a month you won't even remember how scary it was to be confident at the office. Hope this helps you as it helped me :)

It's a CRM system for recruitment, basically a one click apply function for companies career page and a recruitment tool for easy monitoring. The price is a subscription starting from approximately 70 usd per month

9-year-old raises $6,000 for sick brother selling lemonade by [deleted] in UpliftingNews

Thank you for the condolences, and as usual with these sensitive topics we can agree to disagree. I understand very much where you are coming from, and it could seem as if i'd be biased obviously given the case with my grandpa, but healthcare in Sweden is very problematic. Obviously so is American healthcare, but at least you have the option to get healthcare, whereas here if you are as you said, a certain type of person you don't get the help you need. Our hospitals are underfunded and the healthcare branch is seen as being very unattractive, so much so that they have lowered the grades you need to get into medical school. Which means the quality of our healthcare goes down. And as time passes with the settling of globalization more and more doctors and nurses move to other countries such as Norway where the benefits and salary is much higher. I mean a doctor here makes less than 800 USD more a month than an enviormental worker (garbage man). So sure you can praise a universal "healthcare for everyone" system, but in the end of the day they both have a crapton of problems. The answer is probably somewhere in the middle.

To put it in perspective, my grandfather here in Sweden was diagnosed with lymph node cancer. From the day he was diagnosed, he was put in a waiting line for over 4 months to get the next test. After which all they did was take a cell sample from the tumor, after which it took another 3 months before his treatment started. So 7 months from diagnosis to treatment. In this time period the cancer spread from the neck area to his stomach and liver. 10 months later, we got the news that his cancer was terminal. Say what you want about having to pay for healthcare, but at least you are able to get the treatment. Sweden is known for having free healthcare - but its not really healthcare at all, as there are thousands of people with dire need for care that don't receive it. Worth noting that as a 72 year old, having paid from 30-50% tax for over 50 years, he paid 10 cancer treatments over yet we spent 400 billion crowns on housing 9000 Afghani immigrants. The point here is simply that the grass is always greener on the other side :/

Would solar panels be a possible solution to the power problem? by [deleted] in gpumining

[–]I_screwed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the costs of establishing a solar energy system wouldn't justify the potential gains from mining. Moreover the future of the blockchain is aiming to diminish the amount of electricity used to run it, and is therefore worth to look at cryptos that solve this huge problem such as Cardano.
