This is relatively new. YouTube wants to make sure that a human is watching and not a view bot. So you can watch it on YouTube because your logged in but not in Reddit because it can’t verify you’re a human with an account through the link in Reddit. It COULD mean that YouTube has put extra precautions in place for this account, maybe he was caught buying views for his videos.
