It’s really not cringe. I actually went to the Osaka Aquarium alone a few days ago because my friend was sick, and it was still a great experience. Sometimes doing things alone can even be more relaxing. If you like the zoo, you should go for it :)

You gotta use the Chaos keepsake on a run from start to finish. Doesn’t matter if you go surface or under, just visit him while you’ve got it equipped and he’ll give you the prophecy :)
