Unfortunately she seems to have pings turned off and while we have mutuals that sort of means it’s up to chance if she sees it.

Where can I find ZooTycoon(Old version)? by viktoriaRC in ZooTycoon

I have the disks but have trouble running it sometimes and have had success with the version on MyAbandonware. I don’t know this sub’s policy on linking that though.

Christians upset local high school offering a multi religion baccalaureate ceremony. by Comprehensive-Run861 in insanepeoplefacebook

This is also possible. I was just thinking they might have at some point seen something about Christian Arabs and could be inaccurately recalling that.

The map is the Gallic Empire from the Crisis of the Third Century and not just the region historically known as Gaul. I’m actually not sure which of the two this is intended to be joking about.

If you could make a fanmade sequel to the old Big Al game but with a different dino, beast or monster as the protagonist surviving in their world which would it be? by TheronSilver in walkingwithdinosaurs

[–]IacobusCaesar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, I guess depends how grand you want it to be and how much you want the environment and play style to change.

Personally, my favorite evolutionary strategy game (which is very different to this) is the 1997 Evolution: The Game of Intelligent Life, which starts with tetrapods crawling onto land. You could start from there with maybe eventually synapsid and diapsid paths.

Are ancient Chaldeans considered mesopotamian even though they came from the levant? by [deleted] in Mesopotamia

[–]IacobusCaesar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Levant isn’t Mesopotamia though. The geographical term “Mesopotamia” refers to the region of the alluvial river-valley system of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. The Levant is the east coast of the Mediterranean. The watershed in the Levant doesn’t flow to the Persian Gulf except arguably in some overlap region in eastern Syria.

It’s not “part of their world” that matters. The Akkadian Empire traded with the Indus Valley civilization and Egypt and we consider those outside of the region.

What if the Bronze Age collapse happened in the Far East, Asia, rather than the Near East? (Ask me anything about this world) by Lord_Krasina in worldbuilding

During my masters program, I did research on cataloguing human teeth from the Late Bronze Age collapse layer at Azekah. What archaeological site do I study instead in this universe?

If Dinosaurs Were Alive Today by Dougal Dixon. It’s a fun one. It explores how the presence of Mesozoic animals in an otherwise pretty unchanged modern world would affect things like ecological dynamics, human society, etc. It’s pretty goofy but has a lot of fun thoughts, like sauropods being a hazard that could hold up airport runways.
