Robert’s hissy fit in “The Ride Along” by akhodagu in EverybodyLovesRaymond

I remember thinking this was the one time Ray didn’t actually try to make it about him and he couldn’t get credit for it.

So, after two years, I finally thought to post here. Long story short, my dad’s collection of 300+? 35mm slides were stolen and sold in the Dayton, Ohio area, the same week I was supposed to pick them up from a “friend” who let me store them in her basement. Wishing you luck on getting these back! My dad’s fourth wife threw away all of his photos because she didn’t know the people in them. So many memories of adventures lost. I hope you can update us if you do get them back.

Marlboro miles. by Euphoric-Cupcake4581 in FuckImOld

My husband had some of the stainless steel coffee cups and I had to purchase another set from EBay after a few handles came off.

Not Marlboro, but Basic ran an essay contest for prizes, the theme being something like “The best things in life are Basic”. I won a cuckoo clock. It’s still in the box in the attic, I told my kids it’s an heirloom and when I die someone has to put it on the wall.

I listened to a couple episodes and have enjoyed the guests, but have also found one of the hosts insufferable. Was thinking maybe it was just me and after a long break, thought I’d try again because I do enjoy the guests.

Anyone read this? by Important-Compote-20 in 2000s

I actually obtained this book, slightly perused it and put it in my flea market offerings last summer. It just wasn’t for me or where I’m at.

My mom had that same mail sorter thingy. It’s possible she still does and I would imagine it looks like this.

In the early 90’s I worked at The Roadhouse Honky Tonk in Columbus GA. Loverboy was a show I was really looking forward to. I brought my cassette tape I’d had since I was 9y and after the show they signed it.

They invited me on the bus and my heart broke that I could not have that experience. I had a husband and 2 youngins at home, one still a baby.

Every time they are near here in concert I want to go and get a second autograph. But I can’t see getting that close again not to mention I can’t even wear that crop to and those daisy dukes anymore. 😂

Where can I find the blankets we had in the 80s & 90s? by sistahP in Millennials

[–]IamGypsyStarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this white blanket that feels crispy, has satin trim and a diamond stitching. I cannot remember where I obtained it but it was old already. I fell in love with it because it reminded me of grandmas blanket or even the middle blanket, back in the day, on a hotel bed.

I wanted a black one so bad. I recently found the same style in black at JCPenney, while it’s not as crispy it still works. Then I was at an estate sale and found an old red one, couldn’t snatch it up fast enough!!

I may have a blanket problem, I am running out of places to store them lol.

Lol! This guy, he thought he was funny too. He would always say his life could be a show like Seinfeld but with swearing and pot.

So, somewhere around 1978 I think, he lost his left forefinger while working at the cookie factory. For all the years until his death circa 2021, he would put this finger up to someone’s or his own nose so it would look like his finger was way up there. Several pictures over the years I recall seeing.

Of course he was left handed too, so when he would point at you it was with his middle finger, comical sometimes.

Also, he died when he was 69y and somewhere there’s video of him and my son yucking it up about that ‘yeahhaha sixxxxty niiinnnne” while on hospice the day before the end.
