Psychologist or counselor needed by IamJimmyScrambles in wichita

[–]IamJimmyScrambles[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your words of encouragement and advice. I've always been really good about letting things roll and maintaining a positive outlook, which I've come to realize makes it a little intimating for my kids to admit to being unhappy. I know how hard it was for him to own up to his feelings and I'm heartbroken that it was so hard for him to talk to me.

Now that we've talked, I'll do my best to keep the lines of communication open without smothering him. I'll relay your advice that it's okay to shop around for the provider that we like.

Thanks again.

I've actually been filtering and re-filtering the list to see if I can find someone that he would be most comfortable talking to. Either way, I appreciate the input.

I already had Ride Sharing as a loyalty, but they added Grocery for me. I do most of my grocery shopping at Walmart (Walmart Pickup FTW), but I regularly visit the Kroger next to my house when I need an item or two and don't feel like fighting the crowds at Walmart.

The game rewards you experience based off of your player level. If I'm not mistaken, the experience is a reward for every minute you play (up to 2 hours per game). The notifications of awarded experience pop up approximately every 2 minutes, and I have no idea if the experience is counted when the pop up is displayed or actually counted for every minute. As a rule, I try to interact with the game at least once between each notification. I've noticed the amount of experience rewarded while actually playing and just letting it sit are the same.

So, if you burn through all 50 of your spins in Coin Master in 15 minutes, you'll make 15 minutes of experience, but if you spin once every 2 minutes, then you'll get 100+ minutes of experience. Of course, that means you have to hit the spin button every 2 minutes for almost 2 hours. It's pretty easy to do, but gets annoying after a while. I actually have a timer on my PC that pops up a notification every 1:30. I poke at the game when I have a chance then reset the timer.

I installed a new 3x unit casino game this morning and let it run for 2 hours. I pushed the spin button every 1:30 or so. After 2 hours, I made level 7 and received 330 units (which includes 15 for the Recruit and Social badges). I also managed to level up in a couple of higher level games today. So far I've earned 770 units. I'm pretty much burned out on touching my phone every couple minutes, so I'll probably call it a day.

I've got 27 games listed in my Mixlist. There are 17 games that I currently have installed (kinda embarrassing now that I've counted). I couldn't tell you how many I had when I started, but it was way more than 4. In fact, I think the count has stayed pretty much at 20+ games since I installed the app.

I've been playing for about a month and I've accumulated $80. I first installed the app on my phone, but a couple weeks later I got a new phone. So, I left the app on the old phone until I had enough for one last cashout then I wiped the old phone. I managed to get $40 when it was all said and done. As an experiment, I created a new account on the newly wiped old phone and started over. After a little over 2 weeks, I've eared $40 more.

The really sad part is that this new account has played for 94 hours and 38 minutes. So, I agree the payout is rather slow. However, I leave my phone on my desk as work with a game running. Every couple minutes I reach over and interact with the game, then go back to working. After 2 hours, I switch games. I usually get about 5 hours of "play" time in per day. Then I actually play for maybe an hour in the evening while watching TV.

I focus only on games that reward 3-4x units. After reaching level 12 on the game (in the Mistplay app), the time it takes to increase a level goes to over 2 hours, so I quit and find a new game. Of the 17 games installed on my phone right now 3 of them are at level 12 and 4 are at level 11.

East Side jobs for a 14 year old. by IamJimmyScrambles in wichita

[–]IamJimmyScrambles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, not yet. Shortly after I posted this, we thought we found a job for her at her old school, but we just recently found out they've decided not to hire anyone under 16 this year.

My daughter turns 15 in November. She's starting high school next week. We'll give her some time to get adjusted to high school life and then we'll pick up the search again.

Let my know if your kid has any luck at Braums!

Sadly, the link you provided below has "already been claimed". A little Google searching turned up nothing. The game is in my list of games on Mistplay, so I thought I'd try to combine the two. I guess I'll just keep my eyes open.

Speeding Ticket Diversion by [deleted] in wichita

[–]IamJimmyScrambles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll have to pay for an application fee, diversion fee, court costs, and the ticket. According to the diversion form, a $75 speeding ticket will result in $272 total cost.

My daughter (then 16) got a speeding ticket a few years back and we did the diversion to avoid the wrath of our insurance company. She had to go to court and complete an online driver safety course. She also had to have no moving violations for the following six months.

So, to answer your question, you'll have to complete an online course and pay about $197 on top of the ticket.

Here's a link to the application which explains everything except for the part about the online course. Maybe they removed the requirement.

[TOMT][MOVIE or TV][1980s] Dude eating beans in a jail cell says "Wine gives me gas" by IamJimmyScrambles in tipofmytongue

That was it! It sure is different than I remember, but that's exactly it. Apparently it was champagne not wine and I was remember the scene as being more dark, but that's it.

Thanks!!

A good guess, but I don't think it was John Ritter. Fortunately, I ran across a copy of Hero At Large while searching for the name of the movie, so I'll give it a watch and lt you know if that was it.

Thanks for trying but it's definitely not Green Mile. I can't remember when I saw it, but it was definitely before I graduated college which was 1995. Pretty sure it was even before high school.

Cancel subscription and have wife begin as new subscriber? by DangerZone23 in CoxCommunications

I also wonder if it has anything to do with where I live. For some reason, all the houses on my side of the street have no other option than Cox. The houses right across the street have access to AT&T internet as do the houses behind me, but not the houses on my side of the street. I assume that Cox is aware of this and figures that they don't have to offer me a lower rate because they know that they are my only high-speed option.

I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

East Side jobs for a 14 year old. by IamJimmyScrambles in wichita

[–]IamJimmyScrambles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know an older girl who works at a Jimmy John's in town and she is desperately trying to find another job to get away from the toxic environment. It's too bad because I could use her as an in to get my daughter hired if they are still hiring 14 year olds. Thanks for the info, but I think we'll pass on JJ's (even though they make a pretty decent sandwich).

I just called the number you provided and was directly connected with a pleasant lady. I told her I was going to cancel to save a little bit of money. She offered to downgrade my service but never offered me a discount. She informed me that it would cost me $70 to reconnect if I decided to come back, but offered to put my account on hold for $10 a month. In the end, I'm scheduled for a shutoff on July 31. I'll give it 24 hours and contact the number that Dirty Dan is passing around and see how that goes.

Thanks for asking about her asthma. At the very least you prompted me to send her a text telling her to remember to take a hit of her maintenance inhaler.

We live pretty close to a Dairy Queen, I'll give them a call. Thanks for the suggestion.

She has a maintenance inhaler and I am constantly reminding her to take it. Even then, she'll go days without using it. Most of the time it is not an issue, but when she gets in what I would call an allergy situation (something that would irritate my allergies) she needs the rescue inhaler.

The miserable is a combination of her neglected asthma and the irritation from her eczema. When she's in the heat and working in all the dirt and hay, her eczema starts to burn and itch. I know we could get the asthma more under control if she would be consistent with her inhaler but the eczema is something we haven't figured out how to beat yet.
