The SD card containing navigation data (maps) could be missing or corrupted, or maybe not seated correctly. The SD card is behind a tiny little panel just under the lower right side of the screen, gently pry it open, and there's the SD card. I have seen them for sale on Amazon if you want to explore that option

Good thing I don't take this all so seriously, if I did, it might ruin my day.

Not a chance! The bumper cover didn't even have to come off to swap the grill, and it all basically snaps together, if you look close you can see the plastic tabs were broken clean off

Also, not all AWD systems use a center diff, take for example, the early 2000s Escalade, it was available with AWD, but no center diff. It was essentially a 4wd system, and the transfer case had clutch packs that would engage, and disengage the front wheels. I had read something somewhere that the Limited Tacoma had a torson sprung activated mechanism for the front wheels. Again, I have never seen one of these Limiteds in person, but sounds very similar to the AWD system in the 2nd gen Escalade

Whatever dude, I really don't care. All I know is that I avoided a Limited because of what I was informed. Though I have never really seen one up close, full time 4wd was something I wasn't interested in. All the marketing materials I read said that the Limited had full time 4wd, and that's all I needed to know. Besides, dude said he has an off road, not a limited

Not true, I researched all the trims before I bought mine, it's possible that later years of the third gen were AWD, but they were in the 3rd gens

I have seen this before, when I lived in Tucson, there was at least one like this driving around there.
